Very disappointed!! This was our third stay with this location. It s very clean before. Our room smelled very badly, the floors were damp, and by the time we checked out our unworn clothes ( still packed in our bags) smelled bad as well. There was definite mold in the room ( see attached pictures). We've never experienced this here before. We had prepaid and were told there were no other rooms available. The desk clerk said she would let the manager know. No one came to check it out. The carpets are stained throughout the hallways. And there were stains on our linens. The pool has been green and closed each time we've visited over the past 13 months. The dining room water dispenser has been out of order the last two times we've been there. You can take a cup to the hall water fountain but it is warm.
Location is great. The rooms are not clean. Stains on carpet. Hair on bathroom floor, mold in sink and in tub, the shower control plate was hanging and it took about 20 minutes of letting water run before you would have hot water. The tub is higher than the floor so if you are not aware you can fall. The building itself was hot. The thermostat in halls read 76 at 7:00 am. Floors were unclean, lobby chair has stuffing hanging out of it and the pool wasn't open. Still has a sign wanting people to wear masks but the staff didn't wear any. The guy tending to the food was playing music loudly from his phone while doing his job.
Dreadful experience! Hotel was dirty, pool water was green so they had to close it. Rooms were so disgusting with a strong, and unhealthy smell of pesticides that forced us to book another hotel because we could have been poisoned with the fumes in the room. Refrigerator was filthy, beds were made with stained sheets, carpets were filthy. I will report this property to the Department of Health because conditions are unsanitary and unsafe. The front desk agent, Roselle, was so unfriendly and uneducated that we can't figure out such a nasty person could be greeting guests. Will never ever again stay at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson and I hope that the Town of New Hanover will be more strict as to hotel standards in the future.
The room had a weird smell to it and the floors were so dirty you couldn’t walk barefoot without turning your feet black. Our fridge didn’t work and smelt rotten and the AC was incredibly loud. The pool wasn’t open due to “maintenance” but from other reviews it’s seems like it hasn’t been open all year. Not impressed by this place at all and think it’s overpriced for what it’s worth.
The lobby was very clean , the attendant was very polite and friendly and helpful, the room was clean , the bed spread was dated but clean could use new ones , day 3 noticed a leak at the toilet they gave us a different room ( upgraded ) , the breakfasts were hot and tasty coffee was always good , pool was closed for repair ( ? ). Would recommend a stay. Downtown was close and beaches were fairly close.
