Honestly a bit disappointed in this place. But starting with the good: the workers were all cheerful and helpful! The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise, has all of the usual continental breakfast offerings (pastries, cereals, make your own waffle) plus a couple hot items each day (bacon, eggs, potatoes). It was constantly being restocked and cleaned during the breakfast time. Now the bad: We paid more to stay here versus other area hotels for the indoor pool. That pool was FREEZING! Our kids were bummed because we had planned a day for it and the water temp was in the 60s. Also, the airport shuttle can be tricky. You must get your bags and call before they’ll come, but since planes land with large groups of people, they may fill one up and come back for you. They also advertise the shuttle departing from the hotel on a fixed schedule, but communicate ahead of time and given yourself some cushion, because they don’t always operate on that. Very loud location, right by the railroad tracks and of course the airport. I could hear doors slamming all night, it’s only a three story building. I probably wouldn’t stay here again considering the lack of value, but the service was excellent.
We had a great 3 night stay at Comfort suites during our first visit to Alaska. Starting from check in, we were picked up from airport pretty quick and were able to check in earlier. Mara (front desk representative) was really nice and accommodating. Room was spacious and clean, AC worked great and room service was everyday. Breakfast was decent and was filled/stocked up regularly. Parking was free. I am definitely going to stay at this location again. Thank you Mara for making us feel comfortable and accommodating our request for check in earlier.
Very clean and spacious room. Close to the airport. Everyone was so nice. Ample breakfast with plenty of options. I was very excited about the make- your-own waffles! It's a bit outside of town but only about a 5-10 min drive to downtown. Very enjoyable stay!
I stayed one night and was impressed by how clean the room was. I wasn't expecting much out of it but seemed that the housekeepers are very detail oriented. The breakfast was so good first thing in the am with many items (hot n cold) to choose from including waffles, eggs , bacon, sausage, potato's, etc. The staff was very helpful with all requests I made and went above n beyond to take care of me. Specifically Jen Bee got me /my room some extras I needed (even tho she was not assigned to me) and did it all with a smile on her face. I'll for sure stay again if the service continues to be as great.
It is a really nice hotel. It was very comfortable and clean. They picked us up at the airport to bring us to the hotel. The woman at the desk was very helpful to us. There are a couple restaurants within walking distance if you don’t have a car. The beds are nice and comfy. The rooms are very spacious. There are a couple marks on the wall Courtesy of travelers. They have a really nice breakfast bar with lots of tables. Also a beautiful pool and large exercise room. My only suggestion staying here is ask for a room in the side opposite the highway. You will hear cars and trucks passing by in the morning. Also keep your eyes open for a visiting moose. I would recommend and I would absolutely stay here again.
