NONE of the machines in this lot work. Either the machines or gate are broken, it's a gamble. Machines say they accept AMEX but it doesn't work. Even though I had a receipt, my ticket read invalid and they tried to charge me twice. Gate attendant said it was a "courtesy" she wasn't charging me again. Anyone I've spoken to said this attendant is as rude as can be to them. It's a real shame the only available parking lots in that area belong to Colonial. They need to get it together.
The attendant answering the help call at National Gateway, when leaving L.A. Fitness, is extremely rude and unprofessional. L.A. Fitness provides validation for parking for about two hours, unfortunately I took a little longer in the gym and upon leaving discovered I had accidentally left my wallet at home so couldn't pay the five dollar fee. The attendant when called had an excessive attitude and hung up on me. I had to call back as there was a line of cars behind me and I couldn't back up. She finally l let me out.
The parking machine constantly has issues. With only one exit there are often mini traffic jams in the garage when this happens. Staff was very rude when I validated but the machine wasn't reading my card properly. If you have a manual transmission you will hate this garage. The gate is at over a 45 degree angle and people will ride up to your bumper, don't roll back!
