City Bites
What people are saying
I like visiting this local sandwich shop when I am craving a Mesquite Chicken Sandwich. I like that they have several bread options to choose from including wraps. They also have a variety of Cold Sandwiches or Grilled Hot Sandwiches, Stuffed Baked Potatoes, Salads & soups of the day. I've had their Philly Cheese Steak sandwich & I'm glad that I am able to customize the sandwich to remove what I don't want on the sandwich. They have a wide variety of chips, drinks & a display case of cookies if you are craving something sweet. The manager is very nice at this location & has taken the extra time to deliver an order to my table when they aren't swamped. Lunch can be a little pricey but I prefer this sandwich place over the other national chain sandwich places in town. You can also order ahead on the app & pick up your order inside on the To Go stand or in the drive thru.
This is my first time getting food here and let me say the food is so good but how did a penny get in my salad container? Lol ALSO when I opened my to-go box of tacos I opened it and it was a mess! i stuff as much of the taco filling as i could back in the tortillas but boy was it messy. Not happy with that at all. I also know the Blevins family that owns the City Bites restaurants and they would not be please with their employees doing this at all.
This was our first time at city bites and we liked it. I got a California club on everything wheat bread and it was exactly what I expected. It reminded me of the beach club at Jimmy John's back when they had sprouts. My husband got a footlong veggie, which he liked, but he felt like he could get the same size and quality veggie sub for $6.50 at Subway. Their cookie selection was great, the service was good and fast, and the inside of the building was super interesting. Overall we didn't think the food was anything special and it really is twice as expensive as subway for a sub that didn't seem to be double the quality or quantity.
This place is probably the best sandwich shop in town. They have a pretty wide variety of different sandwiches, minus roast beef. The potatoes are always a good bet. Best cookies in town. And you can tell the management and the people working actually care about good service.
Best non-chain sandwich restaurant of Shawnee of all the ones I’ve tried, even though its rating was lower at the time we went.
