Love these old-time walk-up joints and they hit the mark with a delicious burger. Had to stop and throw out the wrapper because it smelled so good and was making me want to go back for more!! Their ice cream machine is burned up so I will be going back to keep checking to see if it's been replaced so I can stop in for a chocolate shake . . . which is why I stopped in the first place! Highly recommend!!
Hot, fresh food, made to order. Classic diner window, no indoor seating, with picnic tables outside. The “broasted chicken” is like nothing I’ve ever had. It’s not fried, but you wouldn’t know it. It’s roasted under pressure making crisp and juicy — it’s not KFC, you’ve just got to try it to understand what I’m going on about. The French Fries are crinkle cut, seasoned, and crisp.
I have been in search of decent fried chicken for sooooo long. This chicken was absolutely perfect. I usually don't eat the breast and it was so good that "good" doesn't even describe it well enough!
I tried thé lunch special. One third pound burger soda and some sort of curly fry dish. I thought it was a fair deal for the price. I liked the vintage look. No where to sit in the shade. No inside seating. Nice selection. Great tasting food. I would go again. Maybe try the coma burger?. They have benches outside now
Our latest experience at this location was DEPLORABLE. We ordered the 8 piece all white chicken and received a mixed batch. We also ordered the French fries as our side, with an extra side (just in case)...after leaving there...I couldn't wait to get my hands on a fry so I popped the bag open and to my dismay...the entire batch of fries is burned and my face dropped. My husband immediately turned around and went to have them remake our fries. This in itself turned out to be a horrible idea...the girl behind the counter reached into our bag of fries, pulled one out and commenced to squeezing it as if to prove...no these are perfectly fine. Needless to say, we did NOT get replacements... however a phone call will be made to management tomorrow in hopes to rectify this situation. I will update with the outcome of that transaction. Moral of the story?: Bypass Chicken Larry's
