Chelsea Inn Hotel
What people are saying
There should be an option for no stars or less than a star. This is not a hotel it's a half way house. The pictures were a lie. The out side buzzer system is un manned after 5 and we could not get back in. A resident let us in after yelling at us for not living there. This place was not worth the 100 but worse I truly felt unsafe and that was before people were rushing to deal with a flood and faulty fire alarm at 2 am.
I didn't like it there much at all!. The first clerk was okay & treated me okay, but when I didn't answer the door after awhile he called the police & medics cos he thought I may have been dead, they all yelled at me,I hated that big time-they all disturbed me!. On my check out day I had overslept
I rented an apartment on the same block as this place. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD ANYONE, EVER, FOR ANY REASON, STAY HERE!!! It's one of the local drug dens. I cannot stress that to you enough. Do not stay here!!
I stayed here lastnight. It was an experience. When I first arrived, I noticed they value the guests privacy. You have to ring a doorbell to get buzzed in where they very kindly ask “who are you and why are you here”. Instead of nasty bleach and cleaner smell, they deodorize the air with a nice pungeant scent of stale cigarette smoke to keep it more natural. When going into the room, there was a nice open single pane window view of the people that live in the parking lot next door. They are wonderful about avoiding a lot of waste. They keep bars of soap in the showers previously used by the last guest. The hair on it was a wonderful touch. I was a little bummed out to not find any blood stains in there but, ALAS! I found a couple right next to my bed the next morning so everything was fine. The employees like to let everyone know they are there for them in the middle of the night by shouting at the more permanent tenants all night to make sure we are all safe and sound. While leaving, I was greeted by a wonderful couple that wanted to tussle with me after I saw them drop a bag of what looked like to be pure cane sugar. Must’ve been saving it for their coffee. All in all, 5 stars!
Don't book this place if want to be sure to have a room. They overbook and don't honor reservation. After complaining I got cursed at by the manager and threatened with trespassing. Reservation was 6 months in advance and they had it just gave away all rooms
