I have had so many issues with Century Link but I found a technician that was awesome. Jaime S came out to upgrade my service, the prior tech left me without any service for a week. Jamie took about 20 min and I was up and running. He was fast polite and awesome. I so totally hope that Century Link will acknowledge this and reward him for his knowledge and ability.
Their residential fiber service is awesome and quite affordable at $65 a month !!! Get it if you can !!!!
I recently moved from my home that had CenturyLink. So I called to cancel my services in mid-May and the services were never disconnected. I was billed again for 2 additional months of service that I never used. On my phone call today, the cancellation department and she claimed that she successfully cancelled my account. She provided me with a disconnection confirmation number. Then she said I needed to speak with the billing department so they can credit the amounts because she knew I called to cancel earlier in the month. She said I was going to be transferred. She then hung up on me. I called back and selected billing and the billing department said I needed to speak with the cancellation department to get the credit applied. They then said the account was still not cancelled yet. I was transferred again to the cancellation department where they stated that there was nothing that they can do and the account was STILL not cancelled. So they proceeded to cancel the account (again) and gave me a different cancellation confirmation number. I asked to speak with a supervisor and stated I needed to be transferred to an account specialist. The account specialist then stated the account was not cancelled by anyone that I've talked to and then canceled the account for the 3rd time, providing me with a 3rd cancellation confirmation number. Then, he stated that I will be billed for last month and this current month since he set the account cancellation for later this month. After 2 hours of phone calls with CenturyLink, I'm still not sure if my services are cancelled so they probably want more money from me even though I don't even live there anymore since before JUNE!!!! CenturyLink has extremely poor customer service. CenturyLink is greedy. CenturyLink is OK with stealing money from their customers.
I am so upset with these cable, phone companies. I have very low hanging wires directly in front if my home in Sheridan Co.. so low that when I water it hits the wires.
Been waiting all week for my appointment Saturday, and by appointment I mean a full workday window of 8-4pm. Got a call 21 hours before that window, that they don't even actually have the service that I signed up for, and instead they can offer me 1.5mb speeds instead of 940mb speeds. What a joke. Don't even bother.
