Cary Station
What people are saying
First time ever we took the Amtrak ride from Cary. The station is nice and clean well organized. The staff is very helpful and kind. The station was almost empty so we got good seats. Would love to travel again from here.
When I had my first Amtrak journey, it was to New York for my birthday. When I arrived at the station to buy my tickets, the crew was very kind and helpful. Before I boarded the Amtrak to New York City, the personnel informed me in advance about the luggage check and other useful information. The cost of the round-trip tickets was affordable. The only drawback was the awful train ride to New York, when passengers were behaving erratically and the Amtrak driver had to stop the train many times to have people removed off. I was unable to charge my phone for two hours because of a power issue on the train. I won't take the Amtrak train service when I go to New York City again.
This is a new and incredibly clean station. There are also photo exhibits, tourist information racks, maps, vending machines, and even an ATM. Thank you station staff for the cleanliness of this Amtrak Station. The station is served by the Silver Star, Piedmont, and Carolinian routes. See timetable in the photos. If your checking in baggage they request that you get to the station 45 minutes before departure.
This station is wonderful, considering its right in the downtown area. Free parking, lots of it. Helpful staff. A good place to view trains coming on both the CSX and Norfolk Southern track lines.
I love How convenient and cheap the train is but this this it had no air conditioning and it’s 95 degrees out .. I’m so disappointed and want my money back
