This place is absolutely disgusting. It looks like the floors haven’t been cleaned for months. Trash can inside overflowing with trash spread about the floor. Looks like the vacuum broke months ago. Pools of water or coffee on the floor in the walkway. Melted drinks with condensation running down strewn about the order pickup counter. Coffee filters sitting next to the bucket which looks like it had a toilet brush in it… piled on an ice bin stored in the hallway. Display case for baked goods with crumbs and crud all over. Door to bathroom looks like never been wiped clean. Bathroom… disgusting.

I ordered a large mocha and waited near the pick up counter. Orders kept showing up and sat a long time before someone came to pick them up. The majority had a name on their order. Some with stickers and others handwritten. Some staff called names out that you could hear, others didn't. One person only said the name of the drink and barely audible. After 15 minutes I asked and discovered mine, no name, sitting there (probably 10 min). The excuse I was given was that it was busy and loud in the store. Since this was true why isn't it store policy to put names on orders? Your competitor does.

You wouldn't think that there would be a huge difference between Caribou locations, but with this one there is. I very consistently receive poorly made and off flavored beverages from this location. I still do love going to Caribou and will continue to go ( to other locations ). It's just Caribou is not a cheap place to go for a beverage, so subpar quality for high price really sucks. I think I have had enough bad experiences with this one to not go to this location anymore. I also politely rated past transactions when asked and contacted customer service on more than one occasion about the sub-par beverages with the intention to politely help identify an issue before I gave up going. Nothing changes unfortunately.

Every time I end up going, my order is messed up. Drive thru, in store or ordering from the app it doesn’t matter. The coffees I order are never consistent with the flavor or color that they should be. It’s frustrating to try and be efficient using the app only for my orders to be completely wrong 80% of the time or taste off. I don’t prefer Caribou but because of lack of options for a drive thru fast coffee, it’s the only choice I have.

I love our Detroit Lakes Caribou and stop there at least once a week. Most of the time, I get great service. Only one time did they forget half my order and I had to wait for 20 minutes before I could get someone's attention. They were really busy and could have used a few more workers tho. I do appreciate having them in town and being able to order ahead and make a quick stop to grab what I need.
