I’ve visited SLO 6-7 times now and I try to stop by Captain Nemo’s while I’m there. Nemo’s is a game/comics/DVD store that is packed to the brim, while cheap thrills next door is a vintage record/ electronics store. They are both attached to each other. The staff at Nemo’s are fine. Usually behind the counter or stocking. Both of these stores are kinda old and dusty. Not super enticing to spend a lot of time in but they have a great selection and decent prices for the area. I’m a big D&D player and have got some great dice here and a few board games. They also sell loose magic cards and have an awesome D&D minis selection. They do different game events each night of the work. I’ve never been to any but I believe they do them in the building adjacent to Nemo’s. All in all it’s a great store if you want to peak around the vast shelves of games/comics/Dvds. Good place for gifts or that last minute game night.

It's super cool with a lot of everything. New and vintage music, video games in formats spanning vinyl, cassette, cd, and more. Plus board games, miniature games, comic books, trading cards (think Magic the Gathering and Pokemon). The store is also friendly and accessible. Truly a pop culture gem that isn't to be missed.

We stopped at this shop because they have a wide variety of collectibles for any nerd lovers. There are cards, comics, DVDs, video games consoles and games, retro CD players and other retro items, records, etc. Despite the wide variety of items they keep the store well organized.

That's just the Board Games. It has an equal plethora of comics, collectible figures, posters, TTRPG's, videos, and much more, and that's just the Captain Nemo's side. The attached Cheap Thrills side is equally populated with CD's, Vinyl, A/V equipment, game console paraphernalia, etc.

Always super fun to visit...games (board, card and console), used stereo equipment, comics (new and old), DVDs, music (CDs and vinyl of all genres), and related supplies and pop culture goodies!! Not enough time in the day. Check em out!
