Capitol Market
What people are saying
High prices for no reason they never have anything in stock that you need. I suggest continuing on to the other capitol market. They are not for the neighborhood poor quality of business. They are more like an expensive hood market always bums outside begging. Won't be spending anymore money here.
Really friendly. Expensive, but you can expect that for a small grocery that seems to stock almost everything. It's in my building so it's easy to just go there. The only thing I wish for is meat, but otherwise it's great!
Check expirations: I just bought Sabra hummus there tonight for almost $8 (when it’s $2.99-$4.49 at most other stores) and when I got home it was moldy black inside and expired almost a month ago. They have a nice selection for a small store but the markup is ridiculous. And it’s scary to think no worker thought to check if their products expired for that many weeks, and have the nerve to charge that high of a margin.
Was tired after finding parking and this place was the ideal stumble upon in the summer heat. Also fresh produce in a very dense city spot is nice for picking up after work! Prices on par with every other convenience store outside the city.
I go here, literally, every day. I am so thankful staff. Every time I walk in it feels like I just bumped into my homies. One time, I was accosted by a man with a knife and ran into this place they were the first people to help me, without question and with unflagging speed helped me feel safe and sheltered.
