I spent two weeks here and would recommend it overall. Pros: decent size room, adequate kitchenette with essential supplies and large refrigerator, good fitness center, complimentary coffee, free laundry, free parking, easy access to the Dulles toll road, very friendly staff. Cons: AC unit was loud and left a bad smell in the room, wifi was slow at times, office chair was very uncomfortable, toilet clogged easily, room was a bit dark, and hotel overall is a bit worn. I usually stay in higher end hotels, but considering the length of my stay, I didn't want to pay $250 a night. This hotel isn't luxurious, but it's a good value.
I recently completed a long-term stay at Candlewood Suites Washington-Dulles Herndon, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I arrived, the entire staff was exceptionally friendly, professional, and always went out of their way to ensure I felt welcome and comfortable. Whether it was at the front desk, housekeeping, or maintenance, every team member greeted me warmly and handled any requests with genuine care and efficiency. It's clear that they take great pride in their work and truly value their guests. The accommodations were clean, well-maintained, and perfect for an extended stay. The in-room kitchen was a huge plus, and the free laundry facilities were incredibly convenient. The quiet atmosphere and great location near Dulles made it an ideal base for both work and relaxation. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a home away from home in the area. Rooms and property are clean. All staff is very friendly. I had exceptional front desk help from Gabrielle! Clean and free laundry dry facility as well as a nice gym and BBQ grills.
This place has the best staff, and they are consistent. You can tell when the courtesy is genuine, and that's what I have gotten. Victor at the front desk is professional, and always fun to talk with during check in.
If you need reliable WiFi during your stay at a hotel do not pick this hotel. If you need clean dishes during your stay at your hotel and don’t want to HAVE to wash all of them before use do not stay at this hotel. If you like a cold room but don’t want all of your items to be damp when you return don’t stay at this hotel. If you like spending money at a hotel and not receiving a continental breakfast like normal hotels do not stay at this hotel. I get kicked off of the WiFi pretty much every time I open an app. All of my dishes had crusty stuff left on them and one even had what looked like mold in it and the dishwasher has hair and debris left in it. If I leave the air conditioner on when I leave I come back to my bed and clothes feeling damp like you took them out of the dryer early. You would think as much as the hotel charges you’d receive a breakfast of at least a bagel or some cereal but you get nothing but free coffee out of what I assume is a dirty pot. This is a motel charging hotel prices.
