Should be a ZERO! Despite my having a debit card and offering to pay for my rental in CASH, they would not let me do this and wanted a credit card. I was left stranded at the airport in Alexandria, Louisiana. I discourage anyone and everyone from using Budget rental. From the little boy behind the counter to the customer service rep that could care less, I even asked to speak to a supervisor, but they all give the same scripted reply. “We are sorry, but that is this location’s policy.” When you go to make your reservations, it does not tell you which locations have this policy and which don’t. Bottom line is this is how Budget operates…they don’t care! After reading all of the reviews, I now see why they require a credit card… To overcharge you and make you pay for items they should not such as insurance, late return fees and when you try to rectify the situation, no one wants to help. Stay far away from Budget and Avis. CROOKS!

Absolutely horrible! Reserved and paid for a car in advance. Got to airport at 9 pm to be told they overbooked and had no vehicles. Was told we could wait and try the next morning. We are now stranded at the airport, because the only other rental car place also said they overbooked. The Budget representative at the counter handed me a piece of paper with a 800 number on it to call for a refund. They have my money but can provide no car! She refused to give me her name, saying “ We don’t give our names out. Corporate can tell when we work.” She was not apologetic, not helpful, not kind. Entirely disappointing and stressful situation. Several travelers were in the same situation, this is unacceptable.

I declined all options/ services online when I made the reservations. Your company took it upon yourself to add the loss damage waiver to the contract and when i picked up the car just told me to initial and sign. I didn’t realize it was added on until I returned the car and had an additional fee. Very deceptive dirty business practice. I’ll never rent from budget again and will be sure to share your little trick with everyone I know. Dirty dirty business.

Attempted to rent a car this morning. Kinley at the counter was horribly rude and unhelpful. Told me the cars haven’t been serviced and she didn’t know if they even had gas then asked which one I wanted. Refused to call get manager. Said she was the next best thing we’ll get.

I rent from enterprise last week but sorely regret it I will now give all my business to BUDGET ,they are polite ,and made me feel comfortable and didn't mind answering my questions 😊
