I read many negative reviews regarding this rental location and it made me hesitant to use them. Personally I had no issues with the shuttle to or from the airport. Both times they arrived in a timely fashion. The line at the counter was not long at all, but if you arrive after a bus of passengers from the shuttle I can see that being a possibility for some people. But there were 5 people working behind the counter. The customer service we received was great from both the sales agent behind the counter and the rental return staff. They do try to upsell you on things, but you can just say no. It’s not mandatory, and they’re just doing their jobs as sales reps. The only issue I had was with the condition of the vehicle. I didn’t ask for it to be changed because I was trying to get on the road asap, but the vehicle was unwashed and poorly maintained. There were dents and scratches on the exterior. The seats had not been wiped down. You could just tell it was a heavily used rental. I would use this agency again, but I’ll be sure to have a vehicle in better condition.

I ordered a car and insurance online, and upon arrival at the airport, I waited about an hour, which I expected. There were about 6 terminals operating. Renting the car went smoothly; they didn't pressure me to add anything extra, just asked if I wanted to insure myself, but it was all completely fine. I received a different car, but it was the same SUV category, so I was satisfied. The car was new and clean, which surprised me. Returning the car was absolutely superb; I just parked it and left the keys. The return process was incredibly fast, about 5 minutes, and then I headed to the airport. I give it 5/5.

The lady at the front desk was super patient, helpful and informative. The crew outside bringing up the cars and such were a little hostile. The car I rented also was given to me FILTHY! Was kind of embarrassing as I just got into LA and saw a friend after like 5-6 years and he was like, “They gave you a dirty car like that?!” So I wasn’t pleased by that at all. Also got pointed in the wrong direction to my vehicle since the guy didn’t bother to look at my card. Long story short, price is VERY competitive with other rental car companies. For personal use and my own budget, I was able to get something nice. Front desk staff was great, lot staff were ehhhh. The lady at the exit gate was sweet. Car was good but so dirty that I am pretty disappointed. (I didn’t have time to have them wash it again). I’d use them again but also hopefully have more time to have them clean the car inside and out before I take it. The pictures do not really do much justice. But hard water marks all over the windows and mirrors to the point where it was hard to see out them or into the side mirrors.

Update: 19th June. Following Blake’s response below and subsequent emails I received an apology and was refunded the roadside assistance that was not originally agreed. Thank you Blake for your quick response. I have upgraded the 1 star review to 3 star. Terrible experience, queued for a long time a check in desk even though apparently we had checked in on line. After a long flight from the UK we were given the hard sell on insurance, toll charges and breakdown cover. As we had no idea about toll charges we agreed this but refused extra insurance that we had already purchased and also the breakdown cover. We signed the agreement on the screen that consisted a contract of numerous pages. When returning to the UK we noticed that we had been charged extra for breakdown cover which we had not agreed. In the addition the car we were given had not been washed, flies all over the front. The inside also was not that clean with the dashboard and screens cleaned with something that left a horrible residue. There was a warning light indicating low fluid level and one tyre was 10 PSI higher than the other three. Will not use Budget again.

My family and I waited 30 minutes at the airport for a shuttle, then over an hr at the office in line to get the car. Just to get a dirty car that hadn’t been cleaned. The staff was nice , it’s located close to the airport. It seems like this budget is lacking in adequate employees to deliver good timely service. I won’t use this location again.
