I have rented from this location for over 25 years. I have always found Roy, the manager to be accommodating and helpful. His counter staff are young and not well versed in customer service. Let's hope that they improve with training and experience. Also, the cc hold has now risen to $750, which may make renting from them impractical. I still prefer to rent from Roy as I have found the Enterprise agencies to be arrogant and shifty. Roy is loyal to longtime customers. That counts for a lot.

Staff weren't very friendly and were unfortunately hard to understand due their very thick accents. I hate to mention accents but if you are in customer service and accurate information needs to be conveyed, then being able to understand each other is important. When I called to book they told me that we were getting a minivan (which we had requested) but upon arriving we found out they don't even have minivans. And what business tells customers to bring a car back for 9am, but doesn't actually open til 10am??? They tried to get us to pay for another day due to this but we weren't having it. The only good thing about the experience is that is was a good car (a VW Atlas) - newer model, clean and reliable.

On my way to Montreal on a Friday my car broke down on the highway near Kingston. I called right before closing hoping to rent a car as I needed to get to my destination. However, i was unable to get there until much after closing time. The manager waited for me for over an hour past closing and was so kind and thoughtful. He really made a stressful experience better and I am so appreciative of his help! Highly recommend, I would definitely go back.

This was the first time I rent the car here. They called me few times asking for whether I returned the car. I returned the car before the due date/ and time. And it's already for more than a week. I just wonder why they didn't check before asking wierd question. Very disturbing and doesn't make sense.

I hate writing bad reviews for business establishments. However, I cannot avoid writing about my experience with Budget Car Rental in Kingston Jamaica. I booked my reservations through Expedia and arrived in Kingston Jamaica on Dec 22nd 2023. This was supposed to be a 6 days trip to celebrate my birthday on Dec 24th and to see family and friends during the holidays. My flight from Atlanta arrived and hour late and by the time I cleared immigration and customs it was after 11PM. I quickly ran to the car rental office and they were closed. I called the number listed on the door multiple times and no answer. I was approached by another disappointed customer who was facing the same situation. When she called they told her she would have to pay a ridiculous amount of money in order to get a vehicle. I tried calling the number she used and no one answered. With no hopes of getting a vehicle, my friend and I had no choice but to charter a car to take us to our airbnb. The following day we went back to the airport and saw an agent in the rental office who told me that I should have notified them that the flight was late. She mentioned that the office closed at 10PM and there is no one available on site at that point. I was considered a no show so while I had a reservation and PREPAID for the car, the reservation is not valid. She continued to state that I would need to pay the new rate if I wanted to get the care which was around $250 per day. She should no empathy or care as it relates to my situation even explaining to her that I provided my flight information when booking the vehicle and was stuck on a flight which arrived into Kingston Jamaica late. I even explained to her of a similar situation I had over 10 years agao with Budget where I PREPAID for a vehicle and they accepted the money and reservations but when I arrived there were no car. At that point they took me to my destination in Red Hills and promised to have a car for me the next day and I never heard from them again. This level of slackness and poor customer service is not going to work going forward so I am encouraging readers not to use BUDGET CAR RENTAL in JAMAICA.
