Given that the French Laundry was slightly over my budget, I opted for Bichon Bistro and it did not disappoint. We have many a delicious French brasseries in Melbourne, and also because this is Thomas Keller, my expectations were very high. The Steak Frites were recommended by a waitress at dinner last night and it was the best ever!!!

Sister restaurant of The French Laundry so the food is really good. Expect to pay around $80-100 a person if you include a starter with your main course. Service is also excellent. Would recommend the bone marrow and onion soup to start and the steak & frites and roast leg of lamb for your main courses. Everything was great and the service is also top notch. Would drive down to Napa just to have lunch here again.

Don’t be fooled by the tight spaces in the dining area. The food was excellent so they have lots of customers waiting to be seated. Great French onion soup - very soothing in a cold rainy day. The pate was yummy. Escargots under puff pastries were flavorful. My favorite dish was the salmon tartare. It went so well with the bite size baguette slices that came with it. Cauliflower gratin was a comfort dish and we were too full to finish it so we packed it for later. Tastes just as good second time.

This sister restaurant to The French Laundry did not disappoint. Fabulous experience, wonderful staff, and to die for food! While each dish we had was beyond delicious, the delightful standout was the truffle potato puree served with the Boudin Blanc!

Bouchon Bistro is always a solid option for any occasion. We happened to be celebrating my wife's birthday on her actual birthday at Bouchon. The service was good and food were solid. We were there on a Thursday afternoon so it was not terribly busy. I definitely recommend coming here because food is just that good.
