Adak is another world apart from what's expected and things work a bit differently here. This is pretty much your only option for eating out, at least for what I could find. Nested in a residence but that doesn't away away from the 'Cafe-ness' or the 'over to the neighbors for dinner' feeling. Stopped in for lunch and had the breakfast burrito which was a good eat for sure. Planning on returning for dinner and likely more. The place is clean, comfortable and I can see no complaints. Credit cards accepted, the wifi is provided by the city and is not free nor is it fast, honestly not worth paying for, and peak times for breakfast can get busy so plan for some extra time. Hours can vary a bit for seasonal changes and food is subject to availability. They also do a friendly DVD exchange / free rental if you find yourself stuck in your lodgings for an extended period of time. If you're a person on dietary restrictions, I'd call first, though honestly, you should plan on bringing food to the island in the first place.i8

If you are going to Adak then absolutely go here at least once. Good people and good food. Truth is that there simply isn't a lot on this island. Some may get bored while others who seek solitude can here. But while in the mists of that is this little cafe is ran out of a condo like home with some of the best good hearted people you can ever hope to find in this life. Great cook and great food.

Best (and only) lunch spot on the island. Look for the open sign on the garage door. Set in the living room of one of the homes, all the meals are cooked in the kitchen right there by Mike and his wife. Mike clearly enjoys hosting people from all over the world, and just put in cable television, so you can catch some news/sports from the outside world from the comfort of Mike's house.

Only restaurant in Adak open all year. Have not been there for breakfast but dinner is decent. Usually open till 9 and a good alternative to go if you run out of food and the store is closed. Mike is really nice and accommodating. Burgers and the pizzas are most popular and the fries were really good. Usually sold out of certain items on the menu. You can buy expensive WiFi here.
