Nice park for family BBQ's, the sandy beach is nice, I've been coming here since I was a kid i love this place. I do think they need to expand somehow because it gets really crowded at times and there won't be any place to park or get a table, and they don't allow dogs here anymore.

This place is amazing! Tons of shade by the trees, so it is pretty cool even if it is above 100 degrees. Grass all the way down to the water. Would recommend this 100%

We have been going to Black Canyon park for over 10 years and even though it got a lot busier after they quit charging $5.00 the park has changed. There are dogs, alcohol and a unsafe swimming area for kids. More then once we have seen the Sheriff's turn kids around because they are to far out, no buoys to stop them, someone will get hurt. No rules are enforced the beach is covered with canopies and hard to even get to beach. But the restrooms are clean, the park is clean and we will continue going with hope of one day it will get better and me and my grandkids can go swimming again. Bring back the fee.

I guess the boat sinking and leaking gas into the swimming area is ok because the Sheriff's department nor the park employees did nothing about it. I was in the water and saw it for myself. Told as many people as we could but there was a lot of people there. Not a safe place anymore. Sad day.

A wonderful park with a great beach and swimming area for the kids. Lots of shade trees and picnic areas. And I great boat launch area. However no dogs are allowed in the park.
