What a gem of a restaurant. I genuinely wish I had more days available while visiting to eat here! The service was polite and tentative, the food was INCREDIBLE. Our table ordered quite a few entrees and every single bite was tasty. Fresh, made with love, and the perfect sized portions. Hope to one day return!

We loved everything about this restaurant. This is our first time in Sitka and Beak. It was very busy when we arrived for diner but we were able to get two seats by the bar and we did not need to wait. Our dinner was excellent. We especially enjoyed the salmon. Be aware that they do not accept reservations and you may need to wait. The restaurant shares the space with.a radio station and we liked the eclectic atmosphere. P,S. This was my first time eating percebes and I liked them. We returned for a second dinner and our experience the second time around was not as great as the first night. The rockfish ceviche was delicious but both our main dishes.lacked in taste. I had the salmon poke bowl. It was dry and needed more seasoning. My husband ordered the paella and he did not like the preparation.

Fantastic experience with top notch service, atmosphere, and delicious food. Chef Renee is a sweetheart and really cares about the quality. The salmon slab is a must get and they often have special fresh king salmon; the chowder and nachos are also favorites. Didn’t get to try the Mac n cheese but it looked delicious as well.

We ordered rockfish and salmon. I would give the quality 4 out of 5, but portions were small, especially compared to the cost. We there for an early dinner and service was quick.

One of my all time favorite restaurant experiences in Alaska. Excellent salmon. Fun and tasty nachos. Great Alaskan berry ice cream (recipe from a sous-chef of local Native American roots. It’s the version without seal fat if you were wondering). One of their peeps is a sommelier and got me to try the (now empty) rosé pictured. I hate rosé but this was so good I got the bottle for me and friends. Everyone enjoyed their meal: my slab of fresh king salmon, rockfish tacos, and a cod sandwhich. Slightly on the pricier side BUT you forget the price as the chill vibes, quality food, and lovely service is all worth it and more. (Note: they don’t do/take tips ever).
