Bar 3 Bar-B-Q
What people are saying
Service is great here, and the restaurant is always clean. Options to sit on the patio during summer. The brewery is good too. But it's a BBQ joint, and the BBQ is ... fine. It's too dry regardless of what time we eat lunch or dinner. The portions are ok, but on the smaller side for the price. I always order the burnt ends and can only enjoy about 3/4 of them because the rest are too dry and tough to eat (the video is the burnt ends they served...not a rock or bone 😞). The sides are good. We order extra pickled cucumber salad every time. We will keep going back like we have for years because we never learn, and it's the closest "BBQ" spot. Hope we hit the mythical hour where the brisket is juicy and the meat is piled high.
Service: top notch. We were seated immediately without waiting. The host and our waitress learned that we have 60 min for dining before heading to the airport, and they made sure everything came out quickly and perfectly. Food: wonderful. Priced fairly and generous portions. ✨✨✨✨✨ St Louis ribs, baby back ribs, half chicken: very tender and they were smothered in their signature sauce. Very tasty and I love the smoky flavor. ✨✨✨✨ Bratwurst ✨ Brisket: too dry and lean. Not recommended. For sides, I recommend the dinner salad ($2 surcharge), cheese grits, cucumber salad, fries.
The Meat was good, but average. It's not worth the price. Side dishes were terrible. Grits weren't real grits. Clearly instant. They were completely lumpy. Once you took the cold lumps out of the bowl, there wasn't much left. The flavor was good, but texture was that of instant grits. The coleslaw wasn't very tasty. I didn't finish it because it wasn't palatable. Staff was courteous but not friendly. Although the ambiance is warm and welcoming, the staff and clientele are not. Not recommended for the price.
I am currently visiting from Canada and I had the Mac and cheese 8/10 and it was very good but I never ate the ham in it though. Fried Okra was 10/10 it was excellent. I had the Louisiana chicken sandwich Oh my God!!! 10/10... I requested the coleslaw from the sandwich to be served on the side; I also had the wings 6/10 because I couldn't get all flats and it wasn't as crispy for my personal preference. The broccoli salad was 8/10 because it had onions and I don't eat onions so that's a personal preference and it couldn't be extracted. SERVICE was as good as Jesus track record, exceptional. 👣 Prices were way more reasonable than in Canada by faaaaarrr. For the atmosphere, I'm a bougie girl who love fine dining and I'm telling you the atmosphere looked very very very good and was aesthetically pleasing👍🏽 I'm giving this recommendation for future customers who may need it because the restaurant don't need it because technically it was full to capacity so clearly the whole town already knows about it. Happy Eating 🌞
Just passing through, and as soon as I saw tables full of families, I knew things were looking good. Excellent friendly service. Not pushy at all - which I love. I like dark ales, and the Scotch Ale was delicious. I ordered fried green onions because iI loved the 1991 movie "Fried Green Tomatoes," and I had never had them before - they were delicious. 8 thick slices made a meal for me. I highly recommend Bar 3.
