This was my first time flying out of Hartfield. Staying at the Airport Mariott Gateway was an excellent choice. The convenience is incredible. I was walking distance to the Tram, airport transportation. The ride was less than five minutes. I will definitely stay at the Gateway again. Also, the food and atmosphere were great. The service was great, and the waitress and host were very accommodating at the hotel restaurant.

Very much enjoyed my stay. So easy to get to and from airport. That itself warrants 5 stars. I left this morning at 1015 and was checking into delta kiosk by 1030. Lobby is clean and nice and I found the rooms modern and clean. Champs is a terrible sports bar but that is not the fault of the hotel. I ended up ordering room service and it was exceptionally fast and tasty. The Starbucks coffee from the lobby store was perfect.

As a Marriott member for several years, I have exclusively used their hotels. To celebrate my wife's birthday, I considered the Marriott Gateway hotel for our trip to Atlanta. We stayed for two nights from the 26th to the 28th, but ultimately, our experience at this hotel was the worst I have ever had, and it was not worth the cost. Below, I have summarized the inappropriate service and quality I experienced. 1. None of the requested services were considered - Our reservation included a 'room upgrade' option and guaranteed a total of 5000 member points. However, the front desk staff adamantly stated that the 'room upgrade' option was not available without properly checking it, which made me very angry at the time. However, not wanting to ruin my wife's birthday, I decided to overlook it, thinking it was not properly reflected in the system. - We considered 'early check-in' and pre-requested several items such as extra towels, a baby crib, a high floor, and extra foam pillows. However, the room we were assigned did not reflect these options, which further infuriated our family. - We requested an A/C filter change due to poor air quality in the room, as well as additional towels, but we did not receive these services, eventually. - In the end, to get towels, I had to go to the front desk myself, where I was rudely handed the towels, making me regret having to stay at a 4-star hotel with such treatment. 2. The cleanliness of the room was the worst - The bedding and pillows were covered with various stains that were not properly cleaned, and there were various glass shards and small pieces of trash left by previous guests in the corners of the room, making me question whether the staff properly cleaned the room. 3. Conclusion - Our family has become very skeptical about staying at Marriott hotels in the future due to our experience at the Marriott Gateway. Although issues can arise at other Marriott hotels I have stayed at, I could usually communicate with the staff and ultimately receive the service I wanted, but I had no such experience at this hotel. Overall, the staff were rude and unfriendly, and our family ended up with a negative impression not only of Marriott but also of Atlanta. - It is very unfortunate to say that despite being a 4-star hotel, the staff's attitude and service, as well as the cleanliness of the room, were worse than or equivalent to a 3-star hotel. If you are not particularly sensitive to these aspects, it may not matter, but if you are considering this hotel to spend precious moments with your family, you should be aware that you must meticulously double-check and scrutinize the requests you made during the reservation process. I hope my feedback helps Marriott hotels improve and grow. Best, MG

Absolutely the best experience from any Marriott! We were here for conference this week (July 18th 2024). Peter Day ,by far the most knowledgeable Marriott A\V and I.T. Specialist I have encountered, is the saving grace for this location. Peter is an unsung hero. He was highly efficient, proficient and versatile. Thank you Peter for being extremely professional and helpful doing our conference.

I had a great experience here. I got in late from an international flight and was exhausted. I used my digital key, so I was able to go straight to my room. I ordered room service, which arrived quickly, and I had a wonderful interaction with the lady who delivered the food and drink. Then I was able to get a great night's sleep and got out in plenty of time to take the skytrain back to the airport for my early morning flight. I will absolutely be back here for another visit.
