This place deserves more than 5 stars. Saturday morning breakfast for (6)-no wait for seating, food came out in minutes and portion sizes are big and hearty. Staff were exceptional and friendly to both us and other tables around us in addition to check food/filling water frequently. One of best restaurant experiences we have ever had.

Go for: Some of the best real Mexican food available in all of Boston. Avoid if: You're looking for Tex-Mex. Something surprising: There are two locations in East Boston - the other is in the Orient Heights neighborhood. Reservation needed? Not usually, though it is a small and intimate cafe. Overall Experience: 4/5. Finally, a real Mexican restaurant in a city with so few of them. Handmade, not pre-packaged (including the hearty tortillas). Serious flavors. Quiet neighborhood location frequented primarily by locals. Beautiful and tasteful decor. What's not to love? Value for Price: 4 Sanitation: 5 Food Quality: 5 Menu Precision: 5 Service Quality: 4 Timing: 4 Decor: 5 Access: 3 — 5 among the best 4 strong 3 not too bad 2 mediocre 1 never again

Used to be one of my favorites. Have been here several times in the past and revisited from out of town today. Food was on point per usual but in regard to the service— was shocked at how much they tried to rush us out and pushed the bill after only being seated for 30 minutes. Felt like we couldn’t even finish the coffees we ordered. They continued to push the bill multiple times over the next 30 minutes while we tried to enjoy conversation, our coffees and desert. I understand there is a desire to profit from turnover but not the best way to treat dine in customers.

Fabulous food! The absolute best western omelette I’ve ever had. Fresh squeezed juice too! Everything was fantastic and the service was friendly and quick. Very enjoyable and highly recommend!
