I’m visiting from California and went to see Horizon . Not only was the theater filthy , but I made the mistake of ordering the $25 deal of candy , soda and popcorn . The fountains were out of my first 5 choices . Not just one fountain but all of them . I should have realized right then and asked for a refund. The popcorn was terrible. It was a bucket of basically all popcorn that never popped to a full opening . Back home I usually go back for a free refill but in this case I ate less than 1/3 of it . Overall this was by far the worst run movie theater I’ve ever been to in my life ! And I might add I’m 67 years old ! I wouldn’t go back even if I was being treated as a guest . Go elsewhere it couldn’t be any worse
Worst movie experience I’ve ever had. The place was disgustingly dirty, workers were no where to be found cleaning any of it. Customer service is horrible bunch of young people who are rude or too busy on their phone instead of focusing on the customers experience. Popcorn, candy and drink spills all over the lobby area as well as the theater room. Then I bought two large drinks and when I went to the self serving machines they were literally out of every single drink we had to settle for icees which melted really quick because there was no air conditioning in the theater room. Between no air conditioning and no drinks myself and my kids began to feel hot and dehydrated very quickly. The popcorn was also cold and gross. Online it says they have all these food options but when you arrive they don’t have anything but popcorn. The speakers in the theater room were super low, the theater seats were gross and sticky. Glass doors are disgustingly dirty. Worst experience I’d ever have definitely not going back. I’ll be looking for a better theater next time
Only reason any stars were given was because the person checking the tickets was a sweetheart but the people working the concession stand clearly could care less … didn’t even bother to fill the popcorn all the way and no basic manners. The theater itself looks dirty and horrible upkeep. Being from Danbury and having been gone for a while, this was really sad to return to.
Great Imax screen and sound. Seats were fine ,but please place needs to be upkept filthy . bad odor through out lobby and bathroom was terrible also garbage needs to be changed more frequent. Staff mostly teenagers that seemed of course like they just didn't care .
Honestly, the speakers in our theater didn't all seem to be working. We ordered popcorn, and they we're going to give us some old stuff on the heater rack. I asked them for some fresh popcorn, and the guy said, "It's probably cold too, but I'll try." We also order pretzel bits, which were okay, I guess, yet we heard one of the staff ask another worker "Should these smell like this? Did I burn them?" The other worker replied "It's okay they'll be fine." Still enjoyed the movie so that's cool.
