The owner Erik is awesome to talk with. He is super honest and informative. The store has amazing comics and items for sale, all neatly displayed. I usually go to the New Haven location. Both are top places to buy comic merchandise!

Awesome organized location with great selections. The owner is pretty awesome as well, I always look forward to stopping in grabbing some books and having a warm welcome and great conversation

Just popped in for a quick browse, and was impressed by the amount of titles, and the care given to organization. The dude behind the counter was friendly and unobtrusive, greeted me nicely and let me browse in peace. Will definitely do more than browse the next time I'm in there!

Went in today looking for slabs. Hadn't been there in years, but getting back into collecting. Still one of the best comic shops around. Friendly helpful workers, and excellent selection.

Alternative Universe is easily the best comic book store. Both the Milford and New Haven locations are hands down top notch. I've been collecting comic books for 36 years and have hit every store since then. I always go back to them. A lot of other places I would go to would be sold out of what I wanted, so I would go to Alternative Universe and they would always have what I was looking for.Multiple copies and variant covers. The New Haven store is smaller, but has everything. Including more adult oriented books and stuff off the beaten path. Milford is bigger and a little bit more family friendly. Not that New Haven isn't. So pick one. It depends on what you're looking for and interested in. You can't go wrong either way.Eric,Joe and Rich are the best. Best selection, prices and customer service. Oh yeah, I forgot about Rob too!
