Great location right next to the airport. Be advised that they have some rooms with broken/missing sliding door for the toilet/shower area. If your privacy is important to you, inspect the room first and notify the front desk. They switched us to a new room without any objections. Great front desk staff. The free shuttle to the airport is fast and convenient. There is also the free sky train station on the hotel street corner. Might be faster than being picked up at the airport.
I was honestly terrified to stay here due to all the bad reviews. My organizer booked the hotel on my behalf and I didn’t have much say. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby itself was spacious, clean and inviting. My room was clean, spacious and had a nice layout too. The bed was comfortable and overall I had no complaints. Not sure why people left a bad review. I would be happy to stay here again.
I had a great experience at Aloft thanks to Katie. I needed to extend my checkout time to 1pm and she was very accommodating, even though the hotel was fully booked. Katie went above and beyond to make sure I could stay a little longer without any issues. Her excellent customer service and effort to meet my needs really made my stay more comfortable and convenient. The general manager should consider promoting Katie - she is an asset to the Aloft brand and represents the company very well with her positive attitude and willingness to help guests. I highly recommend this Aloft location and working with Katie specifically if you need any special requests or assistance during your stay.
We had an early morning departure and this location was awesome. We dropped our rental car the night before and took the Air Train back to the 44th street stop and walked a short walk to Aloft. Quick check-in. Room style reminded me of Scandinavian minimal, clean, comfortable bed and the A/C worked great. The next morning the shuttle was ready to take us right to our terminal. The shuttle driver was so friendly!
Very clean. The lobby is welcoming with plenty of seating area and the front desk people were very friendly. The bed is comfy and the room is thoughtfully designed with light switches and outlets by the bed, and includes key features, such as a charging station, microwave and fridge. **My primary concern is that the parking lot isn’t well-lit, making it a safety issue for a solo traveler like myself. I deducted a star for this; hopefully they see this post and fix it.** The 2nd star deduction is due to my showering experience: there are no shelves for toiletries, a bench or something to prop a leg on while shaving, and the shampoo and shower gel containers were empty. I hated deducting stars because I otherwise really enjoyed this place.
