ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! This location does NOT have proper car seats to rent, they only have infant car seats. Not only that but we were given a car with a flat tire that we constantly had to put air into because no one would answer the damn phone when we called. We ended up getting a ticket because the car was flat and we were waiting for someone to help us out and parked next to a meter that was disabled. We PAID FOR THE TICKET! $20 parking ticket that is now surprisingly from Alamo $35 PLUS $25 processing fee for them to pay the ticket. Letter dated 6/25/24, post marked 7/14, we got the letter today 7/18. But don't you worry, they clearly stated in their letter that they'd charge our credit card 2 days after the letter date. I'm getting the letter almost a MONTH after. Called the number online and got two of the most rudest employees ever. One could barely even speak proper English. You can't even upload more than one documentation file on their website. I will NEVER rent from Alamo ever again. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY! Absolute garbage!

Awesome service at Anchorage airport. We were on our way in a few minutes. Very friendly. Vehicle was clean and well maintained.

Rented Alamo at Ted Stephens Airport Anchorage. Only issue was flight getting in at 4:30 but rental desk. It open until 6:30. None of the other rental agencies were open any earlier, so it’s just the airport thing. We quickly got our vehicle without hassles and were on our way. Nice clean car, in face we couldn’t believe it had 14,000 miles! Guess people drive a lot in Alaska! Drop off was super fast, signs directing us in were clear. Check in staff even checked over the car before we left and good thing as I left my metal water bottle in the car! Saved me from loosing another one! Price was best at the time, but note that rental prices in Anchorage are higher than most cities and none of the agencies honor national promotions - so that 30% savings deal won’t materialize here.

This is easily the worst rental car company I have ever dealt with. We rented one of their most expensive vehicles. It immediately started having issues. We called them every day multiple times a day for the entire week. The local people were nice, but there was no way to speak with them, no one could ever help us or resolve the multiple issues with the vehicle. So we were stuck with the vehicle the whole trip. From the time we picked the vehicle up. It had 3 nails in the front drivers side tire. The first place we parked and went to eat. We came out and the tire was completely flat. Though it was 2 pm in Alaska. You can’t get ahold of anyone because they are east coast and you can’t get the local number. We ended up getting a parking ticket for the car being stuck at that location until I paid to have someone come fix the tire. The parking ticket was for $20. I paid it the same day, and I also paid close to $100 to have a tire company come out and fix the tire. I wrote multiple emails and letters to this company after getting back expressing my concerns about the vehicle and the experience with them. I was finally given the name or Marcus Bolam who was supposed to be a branch manager. I sent him multiple emails and never even got a response, just like all the others. Bear in mind, there is absolutely no way to speak to anyone in person about anything. Most of the time you can’t get anyone on the phone, and if you do it is not their department and no one else is available. I finally just gave up and decided I will never rent a vehicle from them or any of their affiliates ever again. I was in Alaska 2.5 months ago. Just today I got a letter in the mail saying they are charging me $60 for my $20 parking ticket, they tried to lie and say the ticket was $35 and their was a $25 processing fee. When I have proof it was $20 and paid the same day. A reputable company would have paid it and the cost of us having to pay for their tire to be fixed. Instead these guys are trying to scam us out of more money. I also found it interesting the letter says you have two days to reply. It was typed on June 15, 2024 but not postmarked until July 14, 2024 almost 3 weeks past the date I had to reply by. Of course when you reach out to them, they say it has to be resolved over email, and surprise, surprise when you try to upload proof of the payment their system doesn’t work. I travel a lot for work. I have had more problems with Alamo/National/Enterprise than all others combined. In Alaska where things are more remote and we are several hours behind east coast time. If you want to rent from someone who will absolutely not have anyone to help you, should you have any issues, call this company. I will say, that the people at the front desk were nice enough. My issues is much more with the management and corporate structure of the company. They literally ruined and caused us to alter our entire trip to Alaska because we didn’t trust the vehicle we had. For the $200-$500 they charge for a vehicle in the summer you should at least get a vehicle you do not have to pay for repairs on. *****Update. I replied back to their email and surprise surprise, no response. I also had to jump through 50 hoops to submit online that the ticket was already paid and they denied it because it is a different price than they tried charging me. Still have not had one actual person to speak to, but at this point I will be filing a complaint with the BBB

We booked Alamo through Costco and got a great deal. We worked with Muhammad who let us pick a vehicle out of the intermediate SUVs. Unfortunately, the one we initially selected had about half the cargo room of the other options so we came right back realizing it wouldn’t be feasible and Muhammad quickly helped us out and even upgraded us do to the extra time it took to get it swapped out. Great customer service. Thanks Muhammad!
