7-Eleven
What people are saying
This 7-Eleven is operating scams on their customers. I didn’t know for sure if it was true until it happened to me. This 7-Eleven has card scanners for whenever you use your card so they can get your card information. They somehow took about $400 out of my grandma’s EBT card. We thought we were safe because we use EBT and cash at this store and not credit card, but we were wrong. Apparently the employees and managers are in on the scams as well. DO NOT go to this location unless you’re paying with CASH.
I stopped for gas because sign said $3.39 a gallon. Got to the pump and it was actually $3.59. I had made mention a week prior how sign said 1 thing but gas pump was different. Look before you pump people talk about price gouging
Today as I was trying to make a purchase turn my cash app card declined as it had been all day. Since 6:30pm I had a pending transfer 70$+ to my spare banking(sofi) account (it was around 9:40pm) because cash app wasn't working while I was at the mall. When I tried using my sofi card it declined too. So as I'm pulling up my account on my phone to see what's up she(thr cashier) gets on the phone(idk If she called or was called) at first I pay it no mind til I hear her say the word screen shot. Then she said it again, as they were speaking their native language I couldn't understand anything else. I was like nah your being paranoid, then seconds later the manager comes out with a younger male employee, confirming my suspicion. So I start asking of she has cash app or is familiar with how to cancel that pending transaction so I can get the money out of "limbo". She says no and I mention how cash app hasn't been working all day and I tried sending the money around 6:30pm while showing the account/phone off and saying you see not a screen shot, then I notice the younger male employing smiling almost laughing. He then ask me so cash app isn't working? Honestly he almost pulled it off, but his smile gave away his utter disbelief while still having a tinge of a patronizing undertone. So by now I'm pretty pissed. My transaction was 50ish$ and I had like 46$ on my cash app and 71$ in between accounts. So I told the lady I want 5 less in gas so 10$. I notice she erased everything and had 15$ on the screen. I said no I wanted 10 to which she then argued with me saying I said 15 and everytime got my pump number wrong(it was 4). So she put 10 and I was like can I get the items rang up to? Again, in pretentious faux-pleasant tone, but it was actually in the most judgmental way, she said no lets try this first, even insisted until i said i wasnt gonna run my card twice. By then im mad. Btw i had my normal bank card credit cards but the way they treated me was unjust and judgemental. I came in looking kinds bummy I suppose, I had ballers a random shirt and slides. But I made sure to point out my super nice car that I had 100% paid off, I actually bought it all in cash. Honestly I've had some personal situations affect me the last years, and this year has been my hardest emotionally, which has affected my financial situation, only job I can handle is lyft/instacart, but when I bought that car I was making 3-5k a week. So point is you should never judge people because you don't know what they are going through nor what they are capable. I'm one of the 3 idiots in the world to go to college doe math, pure track. Which is very good major in the $$ department.
2 new employees. 1 lady was on her first day, with NO MANAGER. She has zero training. Charged me for an extra item. No problem there but she didn't know how to do a refund. Also no problem because she hasn't been trained. Maybe train your employees before putting them in a store alone, and pay them a wage fitting for what they do. They do the job of about 3 people. No wonder you have a high turnover rate. She was super nice and I am.hoping she leaves and finds a job better suited to her level of customer service. 7 11 is one of the worst as far as how they treat their employees and pay. I am about to boycott them and petition for better wages and training for their employees. I won't be the only one.
I was treated like a homeless person. Did not realize I had 2 cups and the employee was ready to charge me for 2 drinks. I was poorly judged. Not a place I'm really thinking of returning to. It's always one employee that gives the business a bad name and I really think he should not be attending customers. 10/16/2023 at 4:45 a.m. I was not given the respect I deserve.
