This downtown location is a hidden gem! The reason being is because the staff are super friendly and they make sure that your order is correct. Glen is so sweet and goes above and beyond for the customers. Rachel the manager, is super kind, when she is putting the orders in the bags, she makes sure that what the customer ordered goes in the bag. She is great to her employees and is an example of an exceptional manager. We need more Glen’s and Rachel’s throughout the McDonald’s in the city.

Not a great day at this McDonald's. But I will defend the staff quite a bit. They were busting their butts keeping up with a record St. Patrick's day crowd. And if you don't know what St. Patrick's day is like in Chicago, well it's like the ball drop in NY, just all day long. So tens of thousands of people. So the staff was going crazy taking care of all of us. So their food quality was understandably down. The main issue is the restaurant didn't have much seating available. There were a bunch of tables with no chairs. And not much seating besides. That's why I dinged the atmosphere. So I would definitely give them another shot if I'm back in town and see what they are like on a normal day.

Good things first. Very friendly staff and the food has always been good. The bad part is the cleanliness of the restaurant. The trash is over flowing, tables always have food on them, and the floor is usually dirty. Great place to get food to go.

So I order two Big Mac's without bun cuz I have celiac diseases and the restaurant just grab one breakfast plate and throw the burgers with a total mess. The app gives you the option to have it without Buns and other McDonald's like the one on Chicago and State or Clark and Ontario place your burger in the Big Mac container without making a mess. Such a messy presentation and clearly the person in the kitchen didn't want to do his job.

Ugh! My bus had a 25 minute wait which is the only reason I stopped here to kill time. I didn’t know there was a such thing as “Free Fries Friday” which could be the reason they gave me some burned unsalted fries, I was soooooooooo confused, and I ordered Cheese in my sandwich, & it wasn’t even melted, so we already know what that temperature looks like. Then the highschool students are just loitering. Sitting inside the window like you can barely get inside, let alone find somewhere to sit. All I have to say is, neverrrrrrr again! The McDonald’s downtown by the Twin Towers is a 5/5 you’ll thank me later! Good is always fresh & hot. I REALLY don’t know what this McDonald’s in Hyde Park is serving 🤮
