My boyfriend and I went to Lancelot for the first time this evening. Jacob, our server was great and very attentive! The food was 10/10. We got the French onion soup, shared a Caesar salad and then shared the King Arthur cut of prime rib. All of it was so delicious! We will be coming back!

Came here for our anniversary. Let me start by saying that you couldn't cook prime rib any better. It is absolutely cooked to perfection. Come to think about it. Everything was done to perfect. They are truly masters of there craft. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Here is the REAL DEAL on Lancelot in Vail Village = On the food side I ordered the King Cut Prime rib medium rare and it came out medium. I've had way better prime rib at other places. My wife had veal and was also overcooked. The one good thing was the escargot and the garlic spinach that were very tasty. So I still rate the food below average and our Server was HORRIBLE as we had to call him several times and ask for things repeatedly. Also I got a Tea with lemonade added ( Arnold Palmer) and on the refill he charged us another $4 which NO restaurant ever does. Our bill was $150 and with his $25 tip our bill came to $175 which for this level of food and service was way too much. The ONLY upside to this restaurant is the outside with all the flower baskets which makes it look like a beautiful Bavarian cottage. Too bad the inside is nowhere close the outside. We would definitely never go back here.

Not sure how I never came here in the past 12 years of being a Vail regular, I sure wish I had eaten here sooner. It's in a great location down along Gore Creek with patio seating and doors that completely open. They specialize in prime rib, so that's what we had. It was perfect. Generous portion - shared the King Arthur cut. The specialty cocktails also get high marks for presentation and flavor. Our server had us save room for the Apple strudel and it was the best Apple strudel we have ever had. This place doesn't get a lot of hype - either because it doesn't need it, or they just don't do a lot of marketing. For a traditional menu in charming setting, give this place a try.

It was a pleasant surprise to eat in a glass structure, great service, definitely a must if you stay in vail for a while. If you trying to ski early you might hate to come early because it does take a while to be serviced.
