I always stop by the Spruce Goose when I'm in Port Townsend! Its location right next to the small Port Townsend airport is super unique and allows for front-row views of a variety of interesting small airplanes. Service is friendly and fast. The food is American home style sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc and is good but not outstanding. The homemade pies are delicious though - make sure to arrive earlier in the day to get some before they run out!

All 5 stars well-earned. Service was prompt, the food was great, and the waitresses were friendly. We were able to sit outside and watch planes land and take off. Very cool little location, very recommendable. Thank you for a nice afternoon.

The best "$100 Dollar Hamburger" in Western Washington. The service is friendly and prompt, the food is great, and the restaurant is decorated exactly how an airport diner should be decorated, festooned with models and pictures that refer back to its locale. Everyone talks about the pie, which is fantastic, but all of the food I've eaten there is great. Service is very friendly and prompt. They remember my face and that's super pleasant since they see a pretty busy clientele throughput and there aren't a whole lot of "big spenders" coming through (certainly not me, though I do buy a lot of pie). The Atmosphere is cozy and definitely aviation themed, as it should be for an airport Cafe. I call the Spruce Goose Cafe "a little slice of heaven at JeffCo." A quick aside, the photo posted is significant to me because it's a legacy of the F-14 Tomcat comunity, and man, that was a great plane that had life left in it and was gone too soon. "Any time baby!"

We visited the cafe because of the good reviews. We weren’t disappointed. Imagine being able to fly into the Jefferson County International Airport and share a meal at this quaint Cafe. We drove to the cafe but one can dream! We enjoyed watching the planes fly in and out of the airfield while we were there. There are model airplanes hanging from the ceiling with other memorabilia on the walls. A Christmas tree occupied one corner. The ambiance was nice cozy and comfortable. The children enjoyed looking at all of the memorabilia and the were given gliders to assemble which we brought outside to fly. They also offer for purchase, posters and the glass with their logo. The employees were so patient and kind. We were also given good selection tips. The children started out with a vanilla and a chocolate shake. They were enormous! Their eyes got so big when the waitress set them down on the table. Ecstatic was an understatement! They enthusiastically started to devour them and from the smiles on their faces, they were extremely delicious. My friend got the Runway Reuben. She said it was the best Reuben that she has ever eaten. The Monte Cristo was also very good! I had the fish and chips. The fish was crispy and delicious and the fries were good too. I wasn’t a fan of the coleslaw that came with the fish and chips. We finished off the meal with a slice of Apple Pie and Ice Cream and a slice of a berry pie with ice cream. Both were wonderful! Picky eater ratings: Off of the children’s menu, grilled cheese and chicken tenders! Both scored high marks along with those milkshakes. The cafe was neat and clean. There is the option to dine outside and during cold months the outside area is covered. There is a nice playground on the side of the cafe that was enjoyed by the children. There was a sign on the drive to the cafe that said the restaurant was for sale. Someone snatch up this little gem and don’t let it close! Happy Flying and Eating!

After a weekend of "just good" food in Port Townsend, this breakfast was exactly what we needed. I got the chicken fried steak and my fiancee got the crab eggs Benedict. We were both very happy with our meals, the food was well portioned and delicious! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the service was great as well. Skip the guess work, just come here for breakfast!
