Our second time staying at this hotel (4/16-4/22/24) and will continue to return. It is right on the San Francisco Bay, with amazing sunrise views and unique airport views. A bay-side trail passes right through the back of the property and makes for wonderful morning and evening strolls. We also really actually enjoy the 80/90s feel of the decor, some call "not updated" It feels like mom's house. We also really enjoyed the music selections playing over the outdoor and lobby speakers during the day and early evening. The hotel offers a peaceful home base close to the airport with easy access to San Francisco and many nearby cities. We really appreciated a relaxing chamomile tea after a long day out exploring (offered in the dining area 24/7, along with coffee, other teas, and hot cocoa packets). The complimentary breakfast spread looked wonderful for people who eat animal products. It was nice to have fresh fruit for us, vegans. I would love some other vegan friendly option like pancakes, but that's not a deal breaker for us. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfy with a table and chairs for dining or working. The bathroom was clean, with plenty of room and good water pressure. The staff members were very friendly and always helpful. We really like how this hotel is affordable, convenient, comfortable, and relaxing. Parking was never an issue (as with anywhere in the area, leave nothing in the car, and you'll be fine).

The location of this hotel is great and I love that parking is free. It’s located right on the water and very close to SFO. The free breakfast was very good too, if you’re lucky enough to find a table because there aren’t many. I also love that there is coffee and tea available 24/7. Check-in was easy, although the staff was ok. I travel several times a year and the staff always acknowledges you when you come in and out. Not here. The only staff that smiled and said hello was housekeeping. Now for the rooms. You can tell they are old. The curtains were torn and the carpet was gross. I did not feel comfortable walking around barefoot because it felt dirty. The bathroom was clean, but the pull out mirror is oxidized and obviously not cleaned due to the stain that’s on the wall. The furniture is also old, although the beds were comfortable. Not many outlets and one of them sometimes worked and other times it didn’t. No it wasn’t my charger because it works fine when using other outlets. When I went to see if I could use the outlet behind the night stand, I was shocked to see the outlet cover plate was broken and the pieces were on the floor. Looks dangerous to me. The elevator also made a screeching sound when you got to your floor. Also I am not sure if the heater was on or what but it was unbearably hot in the hallways! Thankfully the ac in the room worked!

This hotel is super dated. Rooms are not really that clean - see the shoe print on my sheets. Mildew on the bathroom ceilings, general dust everywhere. Location is pretty good and the exterior of the hotel is charming. Complimentary breakfast is ok, nothing great..

Great cost for location. Style is a bit old but the place is clean and well maintained. Rooms are much larger than comparable price points (Holiday Inn Express, etc). Staff are very helpful and responsive. The free breakfast is much more than the typical cereal and muffins continental breakfast. It’s also cool to see the planes take off and land if you have a bay-facing room.

Sadly a once great hotel that has fallen off a bit as of late. This used to be my go-to for location, convenience, amenities, and general quality of the rooms. But this latest trip has me rethinking going back. First, at the airport I tried calling the front desk about the shuttle and got no answer, ended up taking a taxi. The website is similarly unhelpful and couldn't find basic information. Second, this week there is a 90+ degree heatwave, and inside the hotel the heat was on. Thankfully each room has AC, but the hallways were a furnace. Lastly, the rooms were falling apart, quite literally. A key feature of airport hotels is quality soundproofing, and the seals on the windows were disintegrated, making for a louder night than typical. There were food stains on the rugs, and the bathroom was not stocked with basic essentials like hand soap. Kind of astounded how many things went awry this last trip. Still 3 stars because of location and the shuttle, but it's no longer head and shoulders above the competition.
