I have attended a few institutions of higher education and currently hold a Masters degree. All the places I have attended the professors trained, prepared, guided, equipped, and even protected the students within their program. Not so in HGTC NURSING program. The instructors strongly give the impression that they are there just to collect a paycheck. I don't mind taking on a challenging course, but I do have a problem when instructors refuse to instruct. It appears HGTC nursing instructors couldn't hack the real world and now is taking out on students who are not able to respond, or else find themselves committing academic suicide. It simply comes down to insecurities and academic bullying. There are better nursing programs in the area with a mature faculty, a program that is willing to guide and prep you for the career.

Horry Georgetown Technical College Dental School provides very low cost dental services, such as cleaning, fluoride treatment, X-rays and such. (No actual dental work like fillings or extractions.) In this teaching environment they do an excellent job with the Dental Technicians in training constantly monitored by the we'll qualified instructors - all with years of professional experience. They typically work in half day sessions - morning and afternoon so you need to plan your day accordingly.

This is the worst school I have ever been too. A lot of the teachers purposely enter half of the instruction and wait till last minute to finish putting in the rest and they put the assignments in multiple places with different instructions for the same assignment. They also put the wrong directions for the assignments and wait till after the due date to put in the correct directions. Supper unorganized and very unprofessional. Someone should hire a private investigator to see all the stunts this school pulls on its students.

Very rude staff, no one seems to know what is going on, most unorganized college I have ever been to! This is why I decided to go to a different school. They tell you one thing and then turn around and change it on you and act like they never said that! Went in and asked what all we would need for in state residency and brought them in exactly what they said and they told us we needed to get other items as well, we did that and went back in and what we needed changed yet again! They will do whatever they can, even for locals, to make you pay out of state tuition to get the extra $$$$!!
