I drove here today with a friend. We did not mean to come here...just found it by accident. It is located off his 80 a little above Auburn ca. As you drive up...there is a small parking area. You cannot drive in...there is a gate...so you park on the outside and walk in. There is a dirt path you can walk or ride a bike. By the water you will find places to put a chair and fish. This is a small lake. It is not for boating...or swimming.. There is a sign that clearly states no boats. It is so beautiful here. Peaceful. It would be a great place for lunch or just to sit for a while. I saw some ducks...and birds but no other wild life. It would be a nice place to walk your dogs. Don't wear new shoes...lots of red dirt.

Always great for a short hike!! Pretty area especially in the summer and fall.

Decent trails and parking if you are looking for a short hike or walking the dog. If planning to go fishing there's probably better places as this small lake is fished often so it's highly pressured.

Great little lake to fish but unfortunately it's a common place for vehicle break-ins, happened to my truck June 25th in broad daylight. I would not recommend leaving anything valuable in your vehicle.

Park along side the roadway. The pathway is open and clear. I noticed a couple of places to sit. Lake Theodore Dam has Canadian Geese and ducks. You can fish there, 2 fishermen caught 2 bass. I found an injured Canadian goose, reported it, informed it's best to leave it where its most familiar and they are very resilient. It's not a place for little children to run around in. Beautiful area though.
