Ohhh my! I would not recommend staying here First the staff was decently understanding and helpful but couldn’t guarantee a refund. First step into checking in we were questioning the stay. Stale cigarette smell with a multitude of other odors. We gave it a shot a still checked in since we were late for the pre wedding drinks at the distillery. We both started getting headaches so my guess is there is a bad mold problem. After getting changed we decided to check out/cancel the reservation and went to a different hotel.

Absolutely yikes. Arrived quite late. The desk receptionist was either high, or coming down from a high. It took five frazzled minutes for me to get my room key. It seems like half of this hotel has year round residences, which means you are checking into a borderline slum. The room itself was shockingly outdated, and shoddy. The air conditioner/heater was so loud, we had to turn it off because every three minutes it would turn on and sound like a truck turning over in the room. The room also smelled fairly terrible. Bathroom was quite clean. The TV was laughably small and so far away from the bed it barely made sense to even turn it on. Seriously feared for the safety of my vehicle in the parking lot, as it was half full of dilapidated vehicles. Got out of there first thing in the morning as the whole place felt unsafe.

True, as can be, this place may have exhausted its welcome. But as we dug a little deeper, we found the beauty again. That was since then resurrected. They have a great team that has seen it through both good and bad times and are holding on to what they once had. With all that behind, it has made a beginning again. Now you can see its smile again. The new face of a place that was said to have withered away. And if you'll see it through, you also would see the potential ("our old friend") Americas Best Value Inn, has to offer a place of serenity, a place to rejuvenate a place to find peace within. If only to recover from your days end. Close your eyes to the world outside for a day or two. When you awaken, you will feel as if you had been renewed. ("Don't let what should have and could have been cloud judgment, open your eyes and find what others have left behind.") God is the creator, ruler, and judge of all people. One day we will be called upon to give an account for our actions in this life. And God will be the arbitrator of justice. We are, however, called to help one another when someone falls into sin by gracefully using the word of God to point people to the truth.

The room was filthy and buggy. There were cockroaches in the room. The carpeting had several large stains. There was a screen on the window that was torn, almost in the half and the end pieces were just flapping. This obviously was not an issue that had just happened. We would have left, but it was almost $150 for the night and we had looked at several other places that had no vacancies, so we felt like we had no other option, other than sleeping in our car, which we considered, since this place was so bad. I would never go there again and recommend that others stay away. Horrible

I'm thinking about whether I should continue to use the motel information provided by Expedia in the future. The trip was an eight-hour, 600-mile drive from Seattle to New York every day. I fully explained the travel plan to the front desk, but the room assigned by this motel was in the worst condition, and the motor noise was so loud that I couldn't sleep easily because of the noise from the next room even though I unplugged the heating device. It would be understandable to allocate such rooms to customers who travel long distances due to a lack of rooms during the peak season, but they did not feel consideration for customers in that they allocate such rooms during the off-season in the middle of winter. Fortunately, the guest in the next room also stopped operating the heater at dawn and was able to sleep for about two hours after the noise disappeared for a while. Having endured eight hours and 600 miles of driving the next day due to apparent lack of sleep, I was fortunate to finish the day without an accident. I hope many of you who have plans to travel to Lacrosse will read it and have no harm like me, who spent the night in the worst motel in your life.
