My dad and I are traveling on our way to hike in the wind River range. On our route I wanted to find a coffee shop that was locally owned and not just a chain. I came across coal Creek coffee and thought it sounded great based on the website and reviews. Boy, were they not wrong. First of all, the town is beautiful and has so many murals and the shop itself is located in the downtown area so parking is a breeze. From the second we walked in I instantly felt a warmth and the greeting we got from our cashier was exactly what you look for on an early day. We visited around 9:00 a.m. on a Sunday. They also happen to be playing one of my favorite bands and the cashiers wearing a shirt from that band, which absolutely made my day so much and I felt like it was serendipity! I ordered a cold brew and my dad ordered a hot trip coffee. Both of us were astounded at how absolutely delicious they were. Not only that but they had a variety of baked goods and some of those were vegan! We got a vegan brownie to split later tonight when we're camping. I honestly have nothing but great things to say, the bathrooms were super clean, the space itself was cozy but also airy and big. It definitely makes me consider moving out here because everyone seems so awesome!

A cafe with good tea and good vibes. Service was quite slow when we came in on a Friday night; it does seem like the cafe gets pretty packed on the weekend, so plan accordingly. There was also live music if I remember correctly. The food was alright. A nice experience overall.

Had a stop in Laramie and checked out this coffee shop. Seriously, the coffee was top-notch, and the place itself was super nice to look at. Loved the funny quotes on the tables - gave the place a cool vibe. The folks working there were really friendly too. Just a heads-up, the service was a bit on the slow side. Not a huge deal, but it did hold me up a bit since I was in a rush. But hey, the coffee and the chill atmosphere totally made up for it. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in town and want some great coffee in a laid-back spot.

Great coffee and a great atmosphere. The tables are riddled with hand written messages and wisdom. I look forward to another great cup in the future.

I’ve normally had a good experience at Coal Creek Coffee; however, this last visit might be my last after waiting nearly 30 additional minutes for an online order. I ordered a pizza and coffee online. Pick up time said it would be ready around 2:07 PM. I came in right on time to pick up my food and drink, and was told it would be a couple minutes. That was no problem since I don’t mind waiting. It was then that I saw staff starting to prepare the pizza I ordered online… Almost 30 minutes later and I was finally able to receive my food and coffee after watching several othercustomers be served first. I didn’t even mind the extra wait necessarily… But after working in the service industry for several years, the least that could’ve been done is to either comp part of the price or provide some other compensation. Again, staff is friendly and I’ve usually had good experiences… But unfortunately, this missed the mark.
