I was due to stay in this property on a Wednesday night. Unfortunately I broke my back, my sternum and my hand on the Saturday prior and had to cancel my entire trip. When I tried to cancel on the Sunday there was no refund available due to this locations strict policy. The cut of day was the Saturday of my accident. Since I was dosed up on morphine most of Saturday and not released until the early hours Sunday morning I hadn't been able to call. I figure the least I can do is let people know what to expect should the unexpected happen - you will lose every penny you spent. I have stayed at the property before. The rooms are decent, as is the lobby. The bar & restaurant is mediocre at best. Ultimately it's one of those properties that has location and a lack of upscale options on it's side. In hindsight, I should have booked at the Holiday Inn Express across the street, where, as part of a chain I'm a member of, I would have received the kind of service that I would expect. Since there was no refund available I haven't actually cancelled my reservation, as I now want to ensure they are not able to resell my rooms. On the positive, my accident could have been much worse, so I'll take the $800 loss, after all, I can still walk (and type petty reviews).

The sheer incompetence of the staff is mind boggling. I get back to the room with the family and with my wife and daughter getting undressed, my son said there is someone on the balcony. I opened the door and a maintenance guy has the balcony taped off and is going to start painting. FYI it's 4:45PM. I requested that he leave the balcony asap, which he did. When I went to discuss the issue with the front desk they had no answers other than we have scheduled maintenance going on, so I questioned why it was going on a room that was occupied they had no answers other than we have scheduled maintenance going on. The conversation continued with the supervisor and then the manager. Everyone just has blank stares. The manager contradicted what the supervisor said of their policies on maintenance and when I explained this to the manager that the supervisor standing right next to her said the complete opposite. Then it just went into the I am so sorry we failed you speech. As a returning customer here even though it's in a really good spot right outside the Grand canyon gate I will never come back, they crossed the line in my opinion.

My wife and I stayed here after a long day of driving, and site seeing. Everything was awesome. The check-in was fast and easy. Our room was very up to date, clean and roomy. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and both were very good. We would definitely stay here again if we were traveling in the area.

Perfect hotel for our family of 4. We were close to the Grand canyon and loved coming back to our hotel after a long day of hiking. The room was clean and we loved all the extra touches as they provided an ice machine in the room, refrigerator, lotions, shampoos, and tons more. They made our stay perfect!

Great experience. Affordable room, very clean sleek and comfortable. Great miniature bathing kits. Will be my go to spot every time I need a hotel in the area. Oh and the woman at the front desk was very nice and professional.
