You get what you pay for. 1. The drivers are rude. They won't let anyone get on the bus until 10 - 15 minutes before departure. That means that when the bus arrive, we all have to stand in line under the blazing hot sun. 2. When you arrive at your destination, most drivers won't let you out until they have taken out all the luggage from the back. IF, the driver happens to let you out before they take out the luggage, you have to be on the lookout on when they grab your bag because they'll just let the bag drop ~3 feet from the ground. No kidding. 3. You never know if the bus will have a working AC unit. IF YOU GET ON THE BUS AND IT'S NOT BLOWING COLD AIR G O T E L L T O T H E D R I V E R! I was on two buses where the AC didn't work. - The first time was from Houston to San Antonio. The lady driver informed us that there was something with the bus and that it was better if we stopped and wait for a mechanic or a second bus. We were in Sealy for about 2 hours until 2 charter buses were sent from downtown Houston. I'll attach a screenshot of the email they sent us. - The second time that happened to me was the worst! From San Antonio to Houston, I noticed right away that the bus wasn't blowing cold air. I knew that we were going to have a problem based on my first experience. 30 minutes into the drive, I got up and told the driver that it was too hot. He said "I'm as hot as you are up here. There's nothing I can do, the AC is automatic". I politely asked him if he could call a mechanic, and he did. After pulling over on the side of the road for about 4-5 times, the driver informed us that 1. there were no bus drivers in San Antonio 2. there were no buses in San Antonio and that they [megabus] couldn't send a bus from Houston to meet us halfway. In all, we stopped twice to get refreshments at some truck stops (check pictures). Throughout the way the driver informed us that the average inside temperature was 95 degrees and that we should call megabus the following morning. To sum it all up: be aware of your luggage, take a jacket because when the AC does work, it gets really cold AND dress lightly in case you get a broken bus, consider taking the Greyhound. Their rates are as cheap as megabus and they offer points when you travel with them.

This ride would have been four stars if not for the driver blaring the radio. Yes unbelievable she βs actually playing the radio like itβs her own vehicle. Iβm on the bus that left Austin at 2:20 pm to Houston arrival time 5:40 pm on 10/28/21. I hope her boss reads this.

I traveled between Houston and Baton Rouge these months. If you take the bus in the morning or afternoon, it is good. The bus is more comfortable and cleaner than greyhound, and the ticket is cheaper. As low as 14 dollars for one way from Tuesday to Thursday. 31 dollars from Friday to Monday. In that case you may consider drive your own car or rent a car. The bus drivers are always nice and helpful. For night bus, the waiting room will be closed and downtown area is not really safe like all other American big cities.

Affordable....simply get your butt on the bus.cheap service..cant beat it. A lot of times people are rude and will specifically put bags in a seat so you wont sit there and there is no one to enforce such policy to make sure everyone sits in a seat

I used to travel on megabus from downtown Houston to Grand Prairie outlets but they changed the stations and now are so faraway for me. ππ»ππ»
