Great last minute decision!!!! Very friendly very accommodating!!!! Owner has very positive attitude very humble guy! Rooms are very comfortable very spacious not what you would expect pulling in parking lot. Plenty of space between beds, modern heat and air units, surprisingly quiet very efficient and easy to operate! We had room 38 very clean very welcoming completely unexpected 55 inch flat screen roku tv wall mounted with direct TV! Bathroom very clean nice water pressure not the typical white white towels, thicker and comfier towels nice working fridge microwave! Will gladly stay here again and recommend to all friends family and colleagues!!!

Small town motel but everything you need. Reminds me of grandma's house back in the day. Kids enjoyed it and price was great.

First time back under the new owner and it is an amazing change. The hotel has always been a nice place to stay when out west hunting or a stop when heading to Colorado but it was a bit dated. The new owner has been remodeling the rooms and we stayed in one of them this time. Very well done..clean comfortable room.

To say something positive the bed was comfortable and it was quite. That was the good part. Otherwise the shower/tub was not clean. The window sills had dead flies, the one bed has a used 2x3 bandaid stuck to bed cover and also there where a lot of bugs by the sink I would not recommend

As a native of the area, I'd heard the motel was under new ownership, so for my last trip to HC I decided to give the place a try. I called and talked to the owner - seemed like a nice enough guy. I let him know I'd be coming in late from KC and he assured me that wasn't a problem. After pulling in around 8:30, I made a bee-line for the motel. It had been a long day / drive and I was ready to hit the hay, It appeared no one was manning the counter, but at least the owner had put a note out saying he was at a high school play and indicated he'd be back at 9:00. HC's a small town so I get it - the note actually brought a smile to my tired face. After 9:00 came and went, I gave it another 30 minutes and tried to call the hotel a few times with no answer. Enough was enough. As I was exiting the lobby,, a young man walking in asked if I was the owner which made me laugh..... I wish! Apparently he and his crew had been waiting for someone to make an appearance for over two hours. Friends of ours had reported similar treatment when they were in town a few weeks ago, but they at least tracked him down eventually and got a room. Ridiculous. I wish I could post a nice review telling everyone how nice it is to have lodging options in a small town like HC, but if the owner can't be bothered to take basic care of his guests, then I doubt he'll stay in business long. After last night, he'll certainly never have my patronage. Stay at your own risk.
