This is our second time staying at this site, first time was 5/5. This stay was 3.5 out of five, rooms were a little dirtier than we liked. We were given a room with what looked like pee and dirt on the bed sheets and a bunch of stuff on the floor, the room smelled weird just not a good start, we asked for a new room and at first they tried saying it was just stains but I insisted. We did get the new room, this one was much better! Still had like hair and specks of dirt on parts of the bed but looked like it was just let from washing in a big loader. Location is great, next to restaurants and a good will if you're into that. Vending was good selection, parking was great.

I've stayed here maybe 30+ times over the decades whenever I work Hickory area. Owner and managers are unmotivated people of low character with no desire for customer service. All I need is a receipt for my last stay. I don't care about your "system change" wiping out the folios. You should have planned for that ahead of time. You could print something on letterhead for me, but no, I have to eat the cost of my stay, because without receipt, I cannot get paid back from employer. Don't even make a slight effort for me. Don't lift a finger. Attempts to get help have resulted in refusals to talk to owner/manager and desk person putting me on hold until I hang up. GREAT way to treat a long-term customer. Never again at this worn-out Red Roof or any of them anywhere. Hope you go out of business.

Made a call, and a reservation. Got to the hotel at 2:45 PM and was told by the rude guy at the desk that it wasn’t check in time. Check in time is 3 PM! So I asked repeatedly, if they had a room, and didn’t they have a room already cleaned? I was ignored. Just before I reached across the counter, and hit his smart mouth! He backed up, like he’d been threatened before! Probably. He said that the manager was gone! When will she back? He said “I dunna know”! Again I started to slap him. Redneck hillbilly! Barely could put three words together, correctly. Went across I-40 to the Crown Plaza Inn. Great place, great restaurant etc.

This place is quiet. Nice area for Walking your dog around if you have one. Parking lot is shared with a Starbucks so it's easy to walk around if you need.

Worst experience ever I booked 2 rooms 1 for me and family 1 for a cousin and her family visiting. They put me in a room where the shower water was not working. I called the lobby and the lady changed my room to a worse one. There were cockroaches all over the room. really bad smell in the room My cousins room had cockroaches and spiders and of course the bad smell. Not happy with our stay in there
