I am a loyal customer of Budget and always choose them for car rentals during my business trips. While I've had some minor issues in the past, overall, my experiences have been satisfactory. However, I had a terrible experience with them in FLL during my last trip. When I initially received the car, it had a maintenance issue, so I went to the front desk to speak with customer service. I explained the problem and requested a new car for my safety. The lady at the fast track desk looked at me as if I were a Jerk and seemed to look down on me. I was upset at the time, but I understood she might have had a long day at work. After everything, I did receive a new car, but the gas tank was not full. When I drove to the checkout gate, I informed the lady working there about the gas tank issue. She instructed me to take a picture and report it when I returned the car. When I returned the car, I received an email from Budget stating that I would be charged $450 for cleaning due to internal and external dirt and sand. I was shocked and called them for an explanation. They told me the charge was because I returned the car with dirt and sand inside and out. Come on, this is Florida—dirt and sand are everywhere. How can we prevent sand from getting in the car when we go to the beach? This is the last time I will rent a car from Budget. You have lost a customer who spends thousands of dollars with you every year. I have attached some pictures of the sand and dirt they sent me, which supposedly cost $450 to clean. To all Budget customers, please be careful to avoid the extra $450 cleaning charge that I experienced. To the Budget corporation, customer reviews are very important for your business, but it seems you do not pay attention to them. I know you are a big company, but losing customers is an easy path if you keep doing business this way.

The SUV was not cleaned or wiped down on the inside of the vehicle. There was beach sand in the trunk, some type of crumbs on the floor and dirt on the back seat. When I spoke to customer service Rep she had no response so I asked if she could add a note to the account, then she agreed and told me I could exchange the vehicle. I'm sorry but that's an inconvenience and I didn't have time. Now I see that I was charged an additional $19 for fuel after returning the vehicle on Full, so now after landing to my destination I have to call to dispute the additional charges

Upon drop off, receiving agent tacked on an additional 15.99 fuel charge on the receipt. Guy checking in the car just shrugged his shoulders and said take it up at the counter. Had to cut in line with counter to get this removed to make my flight. Also needed to put air in the front tire as received car with low tire warning light on but car didn't show pressure. Drive out person is a hired security company guard not related to Budget rental and unable to help. Took a couple miles for this to show 3 tires were way over on pressure and the other was at 27. So received car with problem. No customer service agent was readily available. And charged me extra for fuel upon drop-off. I drove a total of 14 miles and added 2 gallons of gas.

Please employ people who are not coming in to work to see other humans and have pointless conversations for 15 minutes instead of getting people into a rental car and on their way. And to top it off horrible management… every single car being rented isn’t even clean. They’re washing each and every car once you come outside making you wait EVEN LONGER!it just gets worse… rented a white Chevy suburban.. vehicle 52112093 vehicle has a horrible shake. Spent over an hour on more than 16 phone calls and got literally nowhere. Don’t even want to drive this vehicle and now I’m told there’s a fee to come pick up this vehicle and drop off another vehicle. Absolutely ridiculous. 10 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. no one is able to or willing to help when you have an issue.

Very good experience so far. Always wanted to drive a Ford Mustang convertible on vacation in Fort Lauderdale at 75 years of age. It was a usual sight for a senior lady driving a Mustang. Loved it. Another bucket list item scratched off as done and experienced the thrill. She purred when you stepped on the gas, loved it. Wish I had my Dobermans to experience it with me.
