Stayed here for an overnight business trip. It Location was near the airport, but the entrance was situated in a strange way--It could easily be missed, and then you have to drive all the way back around to get back to it. There were not a lot of restaurants nearby. As other reviewers mentioned, the parking was very limited because there were two other hotels sharing the same parking area. The complementary Michi breakfast was decent, continental style. There was not a full fitness center, only a spin room, but it was weird because it was right when you walk in the front entrance. The beds were clean and fairly comfortable, but the pillows were completely deflated. There was only one really bad thing about the room--I kept smelling an animal scent (urine?) as if someone had a pet in there. The smell actually made me sick every time I smelled it.

If you can avoid this hotel, I recommend you do. The room was incredibly dirty (had not been vacuumed, hairs on bed and in bathroom, kitchen appliances smeared in???), smelled like cigarette smoke, they did not have any extra comforters or pillows for pull out couch. The bathroom door did not close without a good shove and then got stuck closed because of broken door pull. Breakfast had expired food. Room cabinets literally had duct tape to cover holes.Parking lot was over full. Had to park illegally. Would love a refund but could not find anyone to help me with that. If we had not been stuck in traffic until 12:30am, we would have found another hotel!

I stayed 3 days. My room was clean, nothing super fancy but I wasn’t expecting the ritz-carlton 😂. When I landed I called the hotel for their complementary shuttle to pick me up, and to my surprise, I was informed by the receptionist that a shuttle ran automatically nonstop. I had to wait only 15mins and my shuttle arrived. The driver was very polite and quiet. The shuttle was nice and cool and clean. It was a schooling 90° outside.so I was very thankful for the a/c. Upon arriving at the hotel, I will say the hotel definitely exceeded my expectation upon entering it. This was in fact one of the nicer remolded extended suits. The staff were always very pleasant and accommodating. My plane arrived early and they DID allow me to do an early check-in without issue once the room was ready. Meanwhile, I did wait in the lobby and worked on my laptop while I waited. Not an issue as they didn’t expect me, it was more than reasonable request. The lobby had a modern cheerful & nice atmosphere with charging ports continently located on the tables and the booths. The hotel did NOT smell like smoke nor was it out dated or dirty like someone had posted. The complimentary breakfast was nice. They didn’t have a whole feast of varieties but they did cover more than the basics and the quality was good. I rather have less variety and better quality prepared food. They had coffee, tea and several juices . They had dry cereals, yogurt ,oatmeal (with berries, nuts and toppings ) , fresh fruits, waffle maker, bagels, toast, and muffins. Then there were hot premade by the staff hosting the breakfast (very sweet Hispanic lady- she was the best)- several kinds of breakfast sandwiches (some of the sandwiches were made on English muffin. Some of them were made on brie and others were made on biscuits ) there were ham/cheese/ Canadian bacon/ bacon/turkey options inside them )and omelets (plain egg&cheese and egg with veggies mixed in). I really like that my room had a dividing curtain for the bed to the living room area. The room size was great. The bathroom was modern and clean. No tub. Thank goodness. Nice large stand up shower. The toilet is low for really tall ppl. But I’m shorter so I did not mind at all. Only down side to being this close to the airport is that you don’t have the downtown easy walking access of restaurants and shops. But that’s common sense knowing the location. So you have to Uber/lyft places or you can always have groceries delivered here or food. It felt safe, clean and I would highly recommend for anyone needing to stay near the airport.

I am a professional pilot. So I stay in Hilton properties a lot. By far this is the worst home 2 property that I have stayed at. As a diamond member we are supposed to receive something and it depends on which property you're staying at however during this visit the person at the counter was not interested in providing anything. Only after I queried him was I able to get some of their "freebies". The parking at this location is terrible, this is the first time I have encountered a Hilton property that does not have special parking for their diamond members. The room did not have proper towels. Did not have a hair dryer. And the air conditioning unit was non-functional. When I asked the front desk in the morning the manager said sorry with nothing more to say. It was necessary to inform Hilton corporate as I was concerned that management didn't take my concerns seriously.

Good morning I would like to acknowledge the front desk agent Phyllis. She is what all hotels should have, she can teach most of these front desk agents on how to be polite, kind and most of all patient. She has a very delightful demeanor about her. Most hotels I’ve been too the agent at the front desk are so impatient and so disrespectful. This is not the first time I’ve encountered this pleasant lady doing her job and loving every moment of it front my point of view. You can tell she truly likes what she does. About the rooms are always clean and fresh smelling. I like that they serve free breakfast, hot coffee, tea etc. The rates of the room are not too bad. All in all i do enjoy my stay at this hotel and it’s always my first hotel of choice. Being that I’m always on the go from from state to state on business it’s nice when I land in Newark and Homes To Suites has available rooms for me to stay. Keep up the good job and do everything you can to keep the overnight front desk agent happy she’s again who you wanna meet and be greeted by after long hours of traveling. Unlike so many other rude agents I’ve sadly came across. Great job Phyllis I hope you’re being acknowledged for your dedication towards great customer service. Thank you Happy guest.
