The employees are nice, helpful, and understanding. The owners of this hotel tried to update without spending too much, with the result being a "hodgepodge" effect. The couch in our room was filthy and I put a towel down before placing my suitcase on it, lights not working, sink and tub not draining etc. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. Having worked in the hospitality industry, the employees do a wonderful job handling situations resulting from the demographics of the area. The owners of this hotel could make it into a very nice, clean and welcoming hotel with some changes and updating things completely...not halfway. Thank you to all the employees.

The hotel staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and overpriced. The hotel restaurant/lounge should be avoided as the bartender/server is rude, rushed and not good at her job. The food was over cooked and the bill was exaggerated and over charged.

Left my car for 10 days. When I picked it up, the passengers side door was dented and front passenger fender had scrape marks. Called management office and got no answer. Called Best Western customer relations, claim was put in. Finally got a call from manager who promptly told me I signed a waiver against any damage. To make a long story short, it turns out my car was moved around 3 times. Best Western customer relations will not override the managers decision. I used park, sleep, fly. They also were no help. Beware of this hotel. The parking is horrendous and the manager is incompetent. I was offered an upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi to make up for $1900 in damage. My reasonable expectation is that my car would be parked and not moved. This is obviously not the case. A quick update. I was able to speak to the general manager and he accused me trying to scam them saying the dent was already there and I knew where to look when I inspected my car at pickup. He was not concerned about my review. Before you use this hotel, read the other reviews.

Great hotel (clean, renovated, free shuttle to EWR airport) with perfect service. All staff do their best to help guests and make them happy. Thank you, Pedro (front desk), for his help, patience and friendly and professional service.

Avoid this place unless it's absolutely necessary, or you enjoy aggravation. The day we went to check in, we were met by a representative that had zero compassion. After booking a room months in advance, then traveling to the location we were told that we had no room. Mind you, this room was paid for in full that morning. The Best Western representative said that they would refund us our money. Not, we're sorry, not we'll find another room for you. Just a stupid look , like it was somehow our fault. Needless to say after some "negotiating" a room magically appeared. There's also not enough parking at this location. There's no overflow parking so the only thing they tell you is you can park on the street. The same street that is littered with tow away and no parking signs. The same street where none of the employees park, but it's okay for you. If all of that still sounds fun, you'll be able to sleep in a room that smells like pot and where the mattresses are like sleeping on a child's bed.
