Awesome ð. Came in during cleaning hours and asked if it was okay if we could check in at that moment, owner said no because rooms were getting cleaned , so I asked if we could get the room and offered to clean it OURSELFS , he was kind enough to say sure. Great service very nice maintenance lady ððž. Owner wasn't up on our business like in most motels , had a nice time here !!! FYI: be kind and respectful to others and they will be the same way with you !! I'll be staying here more often ðĪŠ.

Was charged 120 for the night and wanted to renew the next day and was told I needed to pay 130 cuz I was checking in early. I already had the room from the day before and try to up charge me. Be warned this lady will scam you. Professional scammers here at this hotel.

It's alright...but for $120/night I was expecting a much better (or at least cleaner!) experience for the price! While I bedded with zero cockroaches, I still felt decidedly dirty upon showering and using the facilities. And, man, for this price at least include some kind of complimentary breakfast!? I mean, or maybe, if nothing else...a soda machine would have been nice! But nope, you'll pay through the nose for barely the bare necessities...but I did notice they've somewhat revamped the rooms, just a wee bit, but I did notice they seem more updated than my previous stay here. So I'll give em that: Newly remodeled room designs with obviously new tile installed is cool and all, but still I find it lacking for shedding $120 per night...bottom line: It's passable but definitely not worth the price.

Golden West Lodge is literally right off the 5 Freeway. This in my humble opinion makes it golden. A little pun on words. The Golden West Lodge does not have valet parking or valet or even room service. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I won't say how much the rates are but I do find the prices fair. There is plenty to do in the immediate area such as shopping, restaurants, Bowers Museum, Discovery Center and even the local Santa Ana Zoo. There's something for everyone in this area so if you're bored you can only blame yourself. A lot of the local citizens stay at the Golden West Lodge. So if you like to meet people or instead just people-watch this is a good place to do both. I hope this review helps you out.

This place is terrible... they told me there was a maximum 2 night stay. So I checked in and on the 3rd day they were telling me I had to leave, saying it was their policy. However they were not making the Mexican family leave, or the middle eastern family to leavr. I then noticed we were the only white family and I realised they don't let white people stay here.
