This place was nothing less than a total disappointment from the moment I arrived! The property was run down, and had numerous things that were broken and not working!! There was a disgusting moldy chemical odor throughout the stairway and hallways. The carpeting in the stairwell and hallways was so retro it reminded me of the 1970s when I was child and more than likely it was the original carpeting when the building was built! Upon entering my room on the second floor (room 214) the nightstands were so dirty and disgusting you could literally write your name on it . The TV didn't work and I had to call the desk clerk; Melissa on two occasions to get help with getting it to work! The next morning the TV didn't even work and I contacted Melissa and she instructed me to ask her brother who is one of the housekeepers to look at the TV. I confronted him about the TV and he comes to look at it and tries the remotes and shrugs his shoulders on the issue and leaves my room and never returns to get it working! The staff could have cared less that the TV didn't work! The plastic cover for the air conditioner/heater was ripped off and sitting on the window sill. The toilet didn't work well and got plugged and wouldn't flush. The coffee pot and alarm clock were non-functional and not plugged in where you could use them, and there were a pile of plastic bags shoved inside the coffee maker! There was Kleenex shoved into the peephole of the door. I woke up the next morning and saw the smoke detector was ripped out of the ceiling and not replaced! The soda vending machine in the hallway was broken and it looked like the note on the machine was on it for a long time. I was told when I made the reservation over the phone with Melissa that they had hot breakfast items and the next day at breakfast it consisted of cold cereal/instant oatmeal, packaged sweet rolls , waffles from a machine, brown stale bananas and a kettle filled with canned gravy, and just coffee, with no juice. Melissa the clerk assured me that she would offer me a discounted rate for my stay and she flat out lied to me and charged me the outrageous rates that were quoted to me over the phone. From my horrid ordeal here I have escalated a formal complaint to Wyndham's corporate office and informed them that this hotel needs to be removed from the Wyndham hotel chain as this dilapidated property has no business being a part of their hotel chain. And I'm also contacting the state health and safety inspection offices on this dilapidated poor excuse of a hotel. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE and pay a few more dollars and stay down the street at the Sleep Inn and the Holiday Inn Express for a clean and safe place to sleep!!!

Beds were comfortable with clean linens. Now the bad, the carpet in the room had not been vacuumed. There was a coat of dust on everything. Bathroom floors were not clean.

We needed a place to sleep in the middle of the long road trip and ended up at the Super 8. It's not pretty, but our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There aren't many options on this desolate stretch of highway, and the price reflects that.

We arrived at 2:30 a.m. It looked liked someone had been laying on the right side of our bed. The room had a bad odor. But it was late. We had been driving all day and night and my husband was tired. Plus, we were pass our cancelation time slot. When we arrived we immediately realized the room wasn't worth the price, but again we were tired. When we checked out, I forgot and left a coin purse laying on the bed. The coin purse had a gold four leaf clover in it with some change and a 2 dollar bill. When I realized it. We immediately called the office back to retrieve it. The housekeeper said she didn't see it. She stole it. The manager Stephanie told me that she trusted her housekeeper and if she said she didn't see it, then it wasn't there. The housekeeper looked like a crackhead. Please don't stay here. The building stinks, the rooms aren't clean and they are thief's. Please please please don't stay here. I will probably never get those items back. I reported them to Wyndham, but there isn't much that can be done about it. There are better hotels in Douglas for a better price. I wish we had stayed at one of them. But we usually stay at Super 8 hotels by Wyndham. All Super 8's are not created equally. This one is horrible. It is individually owned. Don't stay at this one.
