I know it’s airport food but this is average even for that. Service was fine especially given how busy it was. I wish I had checked reviews first. Posting a photo of my nachos so you can see what you are getting. They were out of chicken and almost all beers, including all draft beer, so I ended up with a Sam Adams bottle and a veggie nacho (my choice over beef option).

The food was okay, but several ingredients were missing from my wife’s taco salad. I ordered the beef tacos and although they tasted fine, there was a steady stream of water/grease pouring out of the end. I was left with a plate full of soup. I am usually pretty liberal with my stars, but I have to limit it to three for Tequileria.

My food left a gross taste in my mouth. The beans were tasteless, the corn tortillas were undercooked - fairly common mistake but in a place where every plate, and Mexican food is super cheap to buy and make, was $19, that was beyond annoying. If our server hadn't been so good, I'd have made sure management knew before we left. If you're inebriated, you probably won't notice the food being just okay. NO chips and salsa. This is not a good Mexican place. Keep walking....My son's tortillas were overcooked, hard and crunchy. Weird. The salad had a weird white sauce that had a funny after taste. I don't know. Airport food is horrendously expensive. I know this. But how do you mess up some basic Mexican plates. And being busy is NOT an excuse. Decor was interesting.

I was actually surprised. They were slammed. Packed! So, service is never going to be perfect in a busy airport restaurant, but it was fine. Best to order your food from their scan-option to get a jump on it. I grab napkins and clean the table with hand sanitizer because they wipe them so quickly. I had the very pricy upgrade margarita (airport prices are ridiculous), but at least it was killer! Honestly, one of the better margaritas I’ve had. You can taste the tequila big time! And it kicked my butt, which was good because of the turbulence we hit flying to Chicago after that. My vegan tacos were delicious. I don’t eat meat, but I’d never order it in a busy restaurant. Ick. The meat eaters at the table next to me said their food was fair. Mine was excellent and fresh tasting! 3 tacos packed full of fresh ingredients (the pickled onions made them!) So, mainly, you have to know how to navigate airport eating.

Fight got delayed and needed some grub. Waited in the entrance for a bit and was waved into a seat by the bartender. He was definitely not having a good day… I said “Hi!” he scowled back. Ordered the Chopped Salad with Barbacoa but was quickly informed that they had no Barbacoa. Ordered the carnitas as an alternative. I then ordered an ice tea and asked for Splenda, he barked back “We don't have Splenda!“ and walked away. When he came back, I asked if they had Sweet&Low, he says “ Yes” and disappears. He comes back a few minutes later and tosses a few sugar packets on the counter. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Food comes and was reasonable. On the other hand the Ultimate Cosmo he made me was good!👍👌 Other patrons complain about the QR code web based payment system and more anger and frustration oozes from the bartender. I found the payment process smooth, but a bit unintuitive at initial launch. I pay $60 for a salad, drink and ice tea… I guess that's what's it’s like at the CLT Taqueria… 😅🙈🤦🏻‍♂️
