A nice place to visit and watch the airplane taking off and landing. There is no restroom or any staffs. So if you are doing in the evening safety might be one thing. But when we went it was around 7 pm but there was a cop in the approaching road. Will suggest to go on a peak time of airport , so within a short span you may see lot of aircraft on business. We saw around 6 airplane on 30 min time.

Nashville is not my favorite place, particularly the airport. I don’t say nice things about it often. This is great. The view is not perfect, but is better than I’ve found at others I’ve visited. It’s free. I have no idea how someone can complain about a free place to watch airport traffic. Like someone else said, the Live ATC app is great listening and I’d recommend the app FlightRadar24 as well. There are flight schedules there including freight if you want to see the Atlas 747 without the building blocking your view. It does block the 1000’ on 2L. Bring binoculars. It’s not Mt Rushmore. It’s a commercial airport.

Visited Nashville last weekend while my wife was at a conference and had a lot of time to explore. I ended up here quite a few times because it's such a peaceful place to hang out with such a great view of the runways. The touchdown zone of 20L is hidden, but you can still see those planes taxi back to the gate from here. Great view of planes taking off from 20C and landing and exiting 20R. Definitely download the LiveATC app and listen in while you're here!
