It was an awesome day today (Sunday, July 28, 2024- evening shift) I appreciated the extra help and info from the gentleman in the Pet Dept! Thank you very much Sir! A high 5 to the sweet lady in the Ladies Apparel who made it possible to obtain the pants off of the mannequin ( the only size S available). Just too sweet...and hilarious!!! A big thanks to you too Ms. You both were wonderful 🙌🏻❤️

Most floor associates were rude and very unhelpful. Byron in garden center always has a smile on his face and is the only helpful associate that I encounter during my visits to the 1405 location. This store really needs to sharpen its customer service skills with its floor associates. The associates inside the store never have a smile and always look so moody and mad, that it is hard to approach them. Not a pleasant experience. I do what I can to avoid the bad vibes that I sense from most of the employees. I will go out of my way to shop elsewhere. Unless there is just no avoiding it. Few months ago, I tripped over a pallet, fell and hurt my hand. I made a report. They never even called me back to see if I was ok. I would not recommend shopping at this Walmart unless you have family that works there. Otherwise, you won't get a friendly associate to help you, if you can get one to help you at all. West Columbia or Lake Jackson have a much better environment. Bay City is just miserable people.

Renovated from the outside and inside now. I like how it is easy to find what you are looking for. Isle markers are big and clear to read. The layout is nice. There are a lot of self check out isles. Some with more space for your items than others. I like the way they display things now. For example, bedding, or baby stuff, even mannequins dressed up. The bad thing is you see a lot of workers on cell phones with their heads down. If they'd come up for air, customer service would be a bit better. Walking around, you do see items people have eaten and left on random areas of the store. I'm not sure if that is from Hungry shoppers or employees. But that looks bad as well. For the most part, it is nicer in our Bay City Walmart.

Good prices. Great selections. BUT there were no battery operate shoping carts to use. I'm disabled and always use one. I had to walk around and shop. I did see 2 carts except both out of power. Was disappointed today.

The power was out. Somehow Wal-Mart was open with full power. The cool was so needed and welcome. Had to hang out in the lawn chair dept for a while. Lol
