Very interesting place, a lot of great food choices, great serving sizes, great staff and accommodation. Will definitely comeback. The rice pudding is a must, not too sweet but with great taste.

Have been traveling to Aberdeen for a couple of years now and finally visited Mamies after coworkers all raved about the place. Well, the atmosphere definitely lived up to their comments, but the food did not. Got 3 stars only b/c of service (only 4 other people there) and atmosphere. Large dinner salad was exactly what you would expect it to be. However, the flounder was so thin that all you tasted was the breading. Dry at that. Coworker had the wrapped salmon and crab. He said it was good but cooked too much and was dry. Think you'll be better off driving 15 minutes for a better dinner option. 1 and done for me.

My first time to Mamies. Everything was delicious and our waitress was wonderful. I was with a church group of about 30 people, everything came out on time and everyone was happy. I got the stuffed Cornish hen meal with green beans and mashed potatoes. It was like having a mini thanksgiving meal. The portions are huge! Desserts are yummy, wrapped to go and complimentary. The decor is homie and unique. Come to Mamies if you want comfort food that’s all homemade. The place was full of happy diners. This is a staple in the area, you must try!

Delicious food served in very large portions! The Mamies trio (sandwiches) were supposed to be mini, there is nothing mini about them.. one chicken salad, one shrimp salad and one tuna and I barely made it through 2. The shrimp and chicken salad were amazing! I did order a side of gravy fries... mmmm!!!! I had to get the tuna to go. Hubby really enjoyed the reuben sandwich, a massive sandwich it was. He got a side of potato salad and said both were really good. Daughter had the kids sampler of meatballs, chicken finger, mozzarella stick and fries. At the end we were pleasantly surprised when our waitress offered dessert which came with our meals. We got rice pudding and chocolate cake to go. It was a really nice lunch, my daughter asked to go back. She really loved the decor of the carousels. The inside is very eclectic and there is something to look at everywhere. Pot roast was a hit on our next visit as was the half crab soup- cream of crab.

Amazing home cooked food. It’s a bit on the pricey side but you will understand when you get your plate. The portions are huge and I have yet to have something I didn’t like. Highly recommend for dinner! It’s also pretty quirky inside if you’re into that.
