I did not expect a store like this in the middle of a desert . What an amazing store with everything that you might want is available. I got the most delicious rice and chicken tikka masala from here. The person at the register was so helpful and knowledgeable. It was Christmas Eve and mostly everything was closed in this little town of Alpine. This place was our saving grace .

I used to work here and John, the “VP” of Blue Water, told me this story about when he was a kid he and a friend took the lives of a pond full of fish at a neighbors property. He said his daddy took care of it though and then he didn’t have to go to school with everyone else. He got home tutors. I wasn’t sure what the purpose of this story was. Then weeks later he told me the store didn’t turn a profit for years when they opened and daddy bailed him out every year. He said some years they don’t make any money. But they always have someone like mommy and daddy to bail them out. Then the story made sense. He doesn’t ever learn lessons. Daddy just cuts a check and everything is ok. How cute. Let’s not get started on the crazy amount of cameras on that property, the tearing up of an iconic hill, and the mistreatment of “nonwhite” employees. That’s for another day.

Outstanding organic/vegan store in the West Texas nowhere! Very reasonable prices and the staff was super helpful and friendly! I am definitely making this my go to store! Definitely check them out if you are in the Alpine area!

I can always count on Bluewater to have the best meat and seafood selection in town. It may all be frozen but it’s not green or gray. 🤢 They also have great better ingredient frozen desserts for the kids.

I was absolutely THRILLED to find a natural grocery provider in the area!! I live in west Texas but here for work and if you’re anywhere near this amazing store you have to stop in. Friendly service and a huge variety!! Game changer when you’re traveling and can still find healthy choices! Thank you for being there 🙏🏽
