My daughter and I have been to the Athens University Theater several times since moving to GA a yr ago from TN and have always been met with excellent customer service, comfort (love the reclining seats) cleanliness (including the restrooms) and fresh popcorn! Yesterday 7/6/24 was however even more exceptional and I am very thankful for the manager on duty at the time (1145am) who met my frustration of losing my wallet in the theater with patience and kindness. I went back to the theater once I realized my wallet was missing and she helped me find it. It had fallen in between the seats far back in a corner. I highly recommend this movie theater!

I enjoy watching movies here. Always clean and welcoming. The staff is nice and professional. Today we had an unfortunate issue where the GTX movie theater was not working and were unable to view the movie. The manager was nice and attempted to get us in the next showing but it was full. She was nice enough to refund us and even threw in 2 free passes for next time. I’m not even upset I couldn’t see the movie. I’ll be back another day, no big deal. Glad I had a great go to movie theater.

We got stuck in traffic and we're late for our movie. The staff was helpful at moving our tickets to the next showing, which was just 15 mins later. Customer service was great, and you can't beat movie theater popcorn!

Great location. Really clean. The seats are very comfortable and adjustable. We were there for a matinee showing and the popcorn was not very fresh. The actual movie/audio experience was excellent as expected.

Our favorite theatre. Always clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Always have fun talking w the popcorn servers. The staff seem to be movie lovers as well. Great place.
